hahahahaha....if you wanna see why rana is in the world cup look at the size of his dari(beard).. Also all the people who thought I was wrong about Inzi and the Pakistani team - all I can say is In your face. Look at the score andd at least feel ashamed and embarrassed at the mockery Inzi has made of Pakistani cricket by mixing religion and tableegh with Cricket - lolol

We need to send in a team of Fauji jawans led by a general to play internationsal cricket. If Fauji`s are running everything in the county why not cricket, is cricket not important?

is st patrick (pbuh) bigger and stronger than muhammad (pbuh) ?

....... if ireland wins and it is proven once and for all that mo of mecca is not all that he is cut out to be, then will inzimam and his tableegi tola accept the pope as their murshid ? ............... i think they should

........ i can`t believe the lota jamaat thought they could go up against the irish on st patty`s day ! ........ but, by some chance if al-lah mian does win, i will convert back to islam .......... NOT !

I am not getting this at all. Religious is a personal issue and it should be personal. But this article sounds like author have some bad memories related with Pakistani captain or Tableighi Jammat.

The popular sport cant be seen as a separate enterprise from mother (root). I remember seeing 1992 finals when Imran took trophy. I also remember seeing many more pesentation ceremonies where Pak captains, players took their trophies. I cudnt remeber if it`s Waqar who the first who started invoking God in presentation ceremonies. It felt odd, when he did. Now we see this invocation of God in every ceremony where Pak team is involved.

Needs comparison if other teams does this (invocation of God). Why Pakistan? Well, why not Pakistan? Was this God thing is becoming too much of Obsessive Compulsie Disorder (OCD)?

In India too Gavasker made Indian team visit this fraud baba i.e Satya Saibaba b4 world cup (sometime in the past). Indian team also met religious men b4 important matches. Krish Srikkanth gave expensive silver statue to Guruvayoor temple (in individual capacity)when he became Indian captain. Of course the god who took bribe did eff his captaincy;-).

Nowadays Indian team is forced to sport tilak everytime they arrive for a match.
Indian cricket is not far behind in stupidity when it comes to mixing sport with religion.

Dear Zeena,
This article has absolutely nothing to do with what you`re getting so excited about. It`s not criticizing Pakistani players for having beards. It`s about how these beards have been turned into bombs against players who refuse to toe the line drawn by Inzimam and his Tableeghi advisors. And mind you, before you explode all over again, please note that I use the word bomb metaphorically. Cheers.

This article is just a hopeless try to manipulate Pakistani cricket teams way of living their personal lives.
If majority of Pakistani cricket players wish to stick to their own belief system, who are we to criticize?

Yes, we can criticize if they play poor and lose all the games with horrible techniques.

This article is a typical example of a fascist mind set who wants to see this whole world like this,``My way or NO Way``. Like,`` Let me live, but, You have NO right to live``.
This article does`nt believe in ,`` Live and let live``.

This article represents an extremely narrowminded approach with height of biasedness and hatred towards certain set of beliefs.

This article is a mockery for itself with all this mubo jumbo which makes NO sense at all.

This article is equivalent to Islamo fascist Mullahs with their fanaticism who believe in ,``My way or No way``.

If, certain Pakistani wishes to perform 5 times prayers, have grown beards, wear shalwar kameez, perform hajj, go to tableegi jamaat`s sermons, get inspiration for their own piece of minds...............Then what`s wrong with that?

Don`t they have every right to lead their lives like the way they want to with their own freedom of expression? freedom of performing their own routines with their own ways of disciplining themselves?

So, that would be great if they would have been drinking heavily, being womanizers, going to stripper clubs, indulging in adultery, going out with prostitutes, calling names ...........then this article will be in their praise and admiration...........the same article would state, these are great, modern, advanced, freedom lovers......

So, this is the exact mind set that we see on chowk,``I am right and everyone else is wrong``.

What a retard article............booboo, booo, hoooooo boohoo, boohoo

Re: # 174

sister zeena,

.... cricket is not camel racing - it is a civilized game brought to us by english gentlemen and we should show proper respect for their traditions like lunch, tea and the mandatory aftergame gin and tonic ........... there is no room for bearded shalwar wearing tableeghi terrorists who take off to pray after the game ............. if they want to play, they should play guli danda or watwani ............ for god`s sake, we don`t need god on the cricket pitch even though he claims to be everywhere ............

Alas and alack no, but I am, right now, sipping a freshly brewed cup of Earl Grey with a hint of vanilla? I don`t know whether I like it yet. I am a broken orange pekoe man and all this new-fangled stuff confuses me just as religion in cricket does.

Field sports are far too serious to allow religion to get into. God has no place on the field. It/he/she should stick to heaven where it/she/he belongs.

Dear arjun,

And this is exactly what I do not understand - the word ``pakiness``. For my Pakistani friends are as uncouth, conniving, cunning, shameless etc etc as I AM. They get as excited about religious issues as I do, except when priority dictates that we get the latest pirated version of ``whatever``. Dear arjun, it cannot just be the Muslim disdain for gao mutra for you and I know about the disdain for ``katuaness``. So what is it? .... What is so wrong with them, when we are the devil`s apple? Pray enlighten me O All Knowing One.

Stop getting trying to make sense of all this crap. You know if there was a God it wouldn`t be worried about a bunch of folks fooling around with a little red ball and piece of wood and answering their prayers.
You know it would be out there solving world hunger , and other terrible problems like how did Dick Cheney get to shoot a lawyer and miss while claiming to be not on medication that would impair his senses but would sustain his fragile heart.
And not to forget the problem of Hamidm2`s gardener`s daily wages.

Education
Indian pupils have best GCSE results

In particular Pakistanis and Bangladeshis were most likely to be unqualified. Nearly half (48 per cent) of Bangladeshi women and 40 per cent of Bangladeshi men had no qualifications. Among Pakistanis, 40 per cent of women and 27 per cent of men had no qualifications.

Low income for 60% of Pakistanis/Bangladeshis

Pakistanis and Bangladeshis were much more likely than other groups to be living on low incomes. Almost 60 per cent of the 1 million people in this group were living in low-income households before housing costs were deducted. This increased to 68 per cent after housing costs.
