Sattar bhai
If truth was just what I needed to live in a wonderful world, I would want the cow to be REAL GOD. That will solve all problems as far as I can see.
Alas, I am concerned not with the cow that I would like to worship, but with understanding the truth as it exists.
If you have a prophetic agenda, then obviously you have goals different than understanding the world.

sattar2,
Yaar Sattar saheb, why`re you so stuck up on suicide bombings? If you dislike these so much, give them some hellfires and I promise you they will never blow themselves up again.
Regards.

kaal sahib,
Instead of making vague claims, perhaps you should start by telling me what’s really bothering you. Think of it as a visit to the doctor!
What making up meaning of words are you referring to? I have adequately backed up my take on things. If anything, it is your ilk and your master zeemax etc. who make claims, refuse to back them up, and dance around issues.
Sahib, ummah is carrying out suicide bombings. Your buddies are bent upon creating Islamic state ... horrors of which you saw in the excerpt from Maudoodi (#279). Why all this pent up angst against Ahmadi-Muslims? Are you sure your head is screwed on right?
... dude, you seem to have issues ...

Bade bhai, I am always open to any discussion with anyone anytime, but really, what is the value of a discussion with someone who makes up meaning of words as he goes along and insists that others stick with ``facts?``
Here is a suggestion I respectfully make. Stop thinking like a child. (sorry for personalizing this suggestion, but it is sincerely meant).

kaal MiaN (#280),
... and suicide bombings too are a matter of opinion - one that seems to have backing from you and your proud master. Then why get so defensive??
These ”differences in opinions” are doing the ummah in. Violence begets violence and that was my point of quoting Maudoodi. Nice try to duck … but how do you think ummah got into their current mess? Let us know when you finally wake up, if you ever!
And don’t worry about any “finality” issue. Ummah is bent upon blowing people up, and that’s where your focus should be. No Wikkipeida will help you on this one. So feel free to get up from the arm chair when you’ve had enough !!!!
[And if this really turns you on, feel fee to validate your view on “basic belief”. Stick with facts; I have little interest in your worthless opinions]

sattar sahib
Islamic scholars have differences of opinion (which family doesn`t?), but none questions its basic beliefs. You are, naturally, free to do so.

kaal MiaN,
… and while you pick your facial zits, here’s something to amuse you. This gem is from Maudoodi, a well-reputed scholar of Islam. Takbeer.

Apostasy and Islamic Revolution
“…Whenever death penalty for apostasy is enforced in a new Islamic state, then Muslims are kept within Islam’s fold. But there is a danger that large number of hypocrites will live alongside them. They will always pose a danger of treason.
My solution to the problem is this. That whenever an Islamic revolution takes place, all non-practicing Muslims should, within one year, declare their turning away from Islam and get out of Muslim society. After one year all born Muslims will be considered Muslims. All Islamic laws will be enforced upon them. They will be forced to practice all of the obligatory duties (faraid) and optional duties (wajibat) of their religion and if anyone wishes to leave Islam, he will be executed. Every effort will be made to save as many people as possible from falling into lap of disbelief (kufr). But those who cannot be saved will be reluctantly separated from society forever. After this purification Islamic society will start afresh with Muslims who have decided voluntarily to remain Muslims ...
Maudoodi, Murtad ki saza Islami qanoon mein (“Punishment for Apostates in Islamic Law”), Lahore: Islamic Publications Ltd, 1950, page 80-81.

I hope you recognize the real demons in this game. But first you`ll have to stop kissing your master`s rear ... can you?
#278 Posted by sattar2 on April 23, 2007 4:25:09 pm
kaal (re #277),
You have no one but yourself and your master to blame for this demon-ization. For starters, revisit your post #235 once you are done picking your facial pimples.
Furthermore, I appreciate your opinion on intricacies of Islam … but I hope you know what they say about opinions. So take a hike, Sahib (or you could finally pull zeemax`s pin).

There is no point in demonizing Zeemax. He is not stopping you from being a Muslim. Islam is.
Zee,
Thanks ustaad! To appreciate Iqbal, one needs to allow the great poet`s words to bubble, froth, and simmer freely in one`s mind. So let me savor his marvellous words for a bit, and then I will get back to you. (and thanks for help with those allusions).

kaal (#235),
Apparently you and your master feel that suicide bombings are the only way forward. Such a cause can only go downhill. Sorry if I fail to show sympathy.
A proper suit may make it difficult to hide the belt though, so I see why zeemax is reluctant to wear one (the suit, not the belt!).
Re #237
Your internet knowledge of Islam is impressive. But believe me, Wikkipedia does not have all the answers.
This is a bit off the topic, but since you brought it up: ask your master from where he got this “finality” concept in the first place. He has a habit of making claims, but fails to substantiate them. And you know what they say about “opinions” … your master seems to have too many of them (grin).
Urstruly once tried to explain, but ended up putting his foot in his mouth. He has been kinda quiet since then. Just ask him the meaning of “last” and you’ll know what it means to spin stories.
Or you could simply pull zeemax’s pin and put him out of his misery. But how fast can you run? I’d hate to lose a pimple-faced adolescent like you so soon …

If that is so, you have a few more things to learn. Forty years is nothing.
Regards.

Hamid,
Did You notice that I did not comment on the article itself. I was just trying to get some authentication of the stories quoted as I have not read any of the stuff before.
The article is rubbish and not worth commenting.

.... personally, i don`t believe in history - i think it is a waste of time reading it and if you do, you are destined to repeat it - but my friend tehsin tells me that ibn ishaq and al-tabari are authentic (more so than bukhari and maudoodi) ........ i will take his word for it because he spends most of his time reading about stuff that `is history` .........

hp,
.... it seems that all this stuff is rcorded in ibn ishaq`s ``Sirat Rasul Allah`` which, according to my friend tehsin abbasi is historically correct ..... i don`t know about ibn ihaq, the historian, but tehsin is an honorable man - i have known him for forty years and he has never let me down ............
