I am afraid so...The ones with intellect, reasoning and humanity end up leaving the fold like Tehsinabbasi. Unfortunately in order not to cause waves and hurt their family they keep such cogent arguments to themselves.

abu_sawaanis are the ones that are left and are the reason people make jsuch negative judegements about islamic societies as a whole.

Allah or ilah in arabic and arahamic is the combination of two words...

al or il which mean what is (matter) and lah which means what is not (anti matter).

Now allah or ilah claims the historian, epitemologists and linguistics etc is an abrubt action of expression to explain a power , though you may call it nature (but nature is more defined as an earthly phenomenon much similar to many other expressons to identify with Allah) or more appropriately some thing more complete and beyond our imagination

Thus some one who is there in what is and what is not...matter and antimatter in physics

This is the prime message of Muhammad that Allah is one.....

Now I donot need to say more and what i wanted to say should be deducted to some extent without any problems


Why he is the last prophet, one may easily conclude looking at developments in human conscious that they wont need prophets any more. The social, scientific and information dynamics of the world is changed. But till welfare at grass roots level is not achieved and ignorance, biasness, hatered and mischief is extinguished the good message of prophets to correct oursleves would remain in context.

So only if some of you who are educated may now seem to know more and think logically doesnot by default make theology irrelevant. And thus a woman like tasmina who has become the part of further confusion is not helping either.

Muhammad`s message was one of the most logical and practical ones among all the prophets be it christianity, hinduism or what have you. you would find his message overall more complete. Thus he takes the cake to be the best one.

You can claim now you are an athiest but then disassociate yourself from humanity and its struggle of millenia to reach to such stage when you can understand things far better and more easily then your previous generation. To reach to this stage every prophet has contributed significantly as they all came with the same message:

`Allah is one`

There is what is and what is not

There is matter and anti matter

ANd there is and was contact of such entirety to human brain or both are unseperable....

inshort due to linguistic and imagination constraint we ought to assume Allah as if he is one defined force but Allah is every thing we see and every thing what we havent seen

Thus saying `Allah is one` is one of the most beutiful human expressions of logic and rationality

Thus aint it that prophets simplified so much for so many of us who might have otherwise be looking at SUN with some fascination as if it is controlling us...

On second thought

We humans in a universal sense ``how singificant and how insignificant we are at the same time``
But we think we are significant and most significant...its another of the tragedy of commons being part of the scientific age....but only wonder whether for each burning star when it explodes do we matter?

But Allah says in Quran yes we matter because we understand and logic



However the reality is most act in a manner as if we donot matter much to each other though many have tried to prove and claim otherwise

This is the whole fuss and quite evident at Chowk: trying to prove significance of one over another...or significance of oneself

and then come the athiests who basically claim ``Humans are the Gods`` well we are not what is and what is not

we are just a small equation in this abstract universe. we are someones who have achieved something in one of the most insignificant planet in the Universe. whether what we have achived is achievement is only true because we have no comparisons which basically should mean we still remain ignorant to the larger secrets of this universe.


In one of the verses in Quran Allah says ``humans are at fault`` quite true it is because as a social group we would never overcome our pshycological dillemmas of inherent mishief so that life becomes more colorful.

Give the same respect to muslim countries if they majority their have decided as a MAJORITY to govern their lives with some code of coduct then when you do go their follwo their laws just like you follow western or indian laws.

Oh Allah! Welcome on the Internet. Why should we bother now with the prophets or their hangons when we can communicate with Allah on the Internet. The discussion having become seriously boring let us have some respite with some humour.

There was a Sardar ji who had a delusion that he was Allah. One day he asked his friend Choudhry to believe in him , but his friend was not acquiesing and asked sardar to show at least one man or woman believing in his allah-hood he would sure be the next. The sardar immediately took him to a house. He knocked at the door. Dude, you are a liar. Beef is very much available in India. It is not commonly available; no doubt. But all luxury hotels will serve you steak and you can also get beef in Muslim majority neighboroods. I did hotel management and I learnt to grill a steak in college in India.

Where the hell did you get your information about beef availablity in India. Have you ever been to India? I am not familiar with north India, but beef is very much available in all the big cities in South India. In Kerala some of the Hindu communities cook and eat beef at home (this is the info from one of my Malayalee roommate). I my self had beef biryani in Hyderabad and yes my parents did not beat me up :) In north eastern states of India, beef is eaten by lot of communities. Every community has their own dietary habits.

Abu, at the risk of offending all my good friends, I would say (seriously, no sarcasm here - DrDr, please note) you are the only one whose point of view I can understand. I can`t see how democracy can be called anything but the rule (to push the point, one can even assert, dictatorship) of the majority, created, implemented, maintained according to the values, wishes, desires, and dreams of the majority.

Abu, it can`t be a secret from you that democracy or any other cracy is not the issue here. The issue is that some Pakistani ``Muslims`` have lost all respect and regard for Islam. So even if there was *democracy* and that democracy tried to implement Islam, they would complain just as loudly.

There is a new breed of Hindu Muslims in Pakistan - Muslims in name but Hindu in thought, desire, and sensibility. There is nothing you can do, abu, that will please them in the least; short of getting rid of Islam from all public life.
