Subhash Yaar,
In 14 years, a lot can be done to alter the disastrous route contemplated by Al-Kayda, JUI, JI, MMA, and all other extremist parties. I thought that Mustafa Kemal Pasha Ataturk won a convincing argument against the Caliphate. We can`t have a united Pakistan, but some people will keep dreaming of an Islamic Caliphate. I wonder why they have to use the ``belt & suspenders`` term of Islamic and Caliphate.
Nizam-e-Mustafa (I hate it when idiots use the blessed name of “Mustafa” to camouflage and justify their hideous acts) was tried by Zina Owl Hag and proved to be an utter failure in his lifetime.

Saliim bhai:
You have to draw a line somewhere.
Can you accept and allow some who believe in slavery to go and enforce, or KKK dressed in white rope going about enforcing their interpretations of law?
Also, I can imagine so many Saturday Night Live skits for these vilgilantes draped in black, that Hamidm and you can script.

abu (#140),
I was expecting you to read more than the first line of my post. My fault, I admit.
Urstruly thinks Islam is demanding blood. But you think Jamia students are acting like goons. What Islam ??? Can you decide between yourselves first?
If you want to discuss twilight zone, start with Issa (pbuh) residing in the sky ... who is expected to descend down to earth one day on shoulders of two angels. Is this enough twilight zone for you ...??
And before quoting conversion statistics, explain why, even after 1400 years, 80% of people do not accept Muhammad (pbuh) as a prophet. Here`s another one ... Christians outnumber Muslims by a 2:1 margin. Had enough statistics?
Since you raised the issue of proof, start by prooving to hamidm, arjun, or krisna that Muhammad (pbuh) was prophet of Allah. Can you handle this? Or are you all hot air ... ????

Musharraf is going to have an extremely hard time painting student demands as unreasonable and unislamic.
Let`s hope some satisfactory solution is found and untoward incidents are avoided...:(

Isn`t that the OPPOSITE of what the high priest of Chowk, Mr. Tahmed32, frequently states? That one must interpret the Koran as they see understand it?

Muslims are heading towards fall, says Musharraf
Updated at 1535 PST
ISLAMABAD: President General Pervez Musharraf said Sunday that Muslims are heading towards a decline and if we do not correct our actions, we will cease to flourish.
Addressing the inaugural session of Seerat Conference here, the president said it is high time we took stock of our position anew that how much we act on Islam.
Nobody has right to interpret Islam in accordance with his free will, the president said. President Musharraf said that the society is full of un-Islamic behaviours and hypocrisy, as we say something and do the other thing.
Those having no understanding of Islam have hijacked Islam and if we want to bring people to Islam, we will have to correct ourselves.
Mentioning Laal Masjid, President Musharraf said the government is avoiding any action against Laal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa in view of respect for women and mosque, adding, “I fear only Allah; we can do much.”
“We have left the straight path of Islam; Allah’s rights are in the focus and Huququl Ebad are being ignored,” Musharraf said adding if we want advancement, we will have to quit this path.
We do not have unity in our country, when 57 Muslim countries will be united, he said.

LAHORE, Pakistan (AP) -- Muslims joined Christians in observing a minute of silence, as they lit candles and offered prayers in a memorial Sunday for Bob Woolmer, the Pakistani cricket coach found dead on March 18.
Some 200 people, including cricket players and officials, attended the service at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in the eastern city of Lahore, the home of Pakistani cricket.
So much for the idiotic article about Inzimam by that charsi NFP.

BJ,
Allah bestows wonders upon sincere supplicants like you. :) BTW, have you read what the Chinese characters indicate on the banner just to the right of K2?
I hate Ayub Khan for giving up the beautiful mountains of Shaksgam to the Chinese. :(

Hamidum Sahib,
Yes you have and I gratefully accept your mea culpa. Considering the proliferation of your bloodline and the camouflaging nature of the sugarcane-armed women`s attire, it is quite possible that one or two of these ladies could be your or my relatives in the north country. :)
I found your description of the cruel foreplay ritual to be reminiscent of Marquis de Sade. Did you and the good Maulana come up with this macabre sequence during one of your frequent sessions held at the High Roller`s Go Go in Hamtramck?

Thou shalt not take advantage of my funny (or less than funny) comments made to Tauheed sahib in jest to take pot-shots at that long-ensconced base pillar of this website!
(Such highly devious trick happens to be strictly MY specialty! :) )
You may be better off focusing your attention on those burqa-clad (presumed) ladies, that crop of New Pakistani Avengers, because (for all we know) one of those ``damsels in distress`` may simply be the Manto in disguise!
If I were you, I would do what the great Prithviraj would do - try to save the ``damsel`` before ``she`` craps!
Let`s set up a ``Save the Manto`` society! The need is certainly more dire than saving the endangered bald eagle - because of the endangered bald eagles, there are certainly more than one!
And before anybody gets the wrong notion that those burqa-clad ladies are really khoosat-looking, they should rethink and take into consideration the possibility that the truth is otherwise. Why not think of more pleasant alternative scenarios.
For all you know - every one of those ``tent-like`` covers in reality hides a shining beauty like the one below.

Uh yeah you just proved my point. Yvonne Ridley is a nut, she support Zarhqawi even after his own family disowned him! My Shia colleague has lost her niece, cousin`s family including a two year old because of that creep. Her criticism of Israel and Zionism is dead on but jeez she was even fired from Al-Jazeera. By her own admission she has been married to muslims in the past but didn`t know about Islam... Huh?
