....my question is that is this the first time in history that all this ill is happenig?
Sorry, but this argument is the most commonly presented to question the bonafide of any unconventional action by anyone including by the State. This doesn`t hold any water in any circumstance because if nothing was done before, it is no reason to believe nothing should be done now. Particularly more so in this case because faith was placed in the State Machinery and the political system and fully tested, and lost, this timing was chosen to challenge the govt`s writ (strike when the iron is hot) when the same writ was being successfully challenged and weakened by other powerful groups such as lawyers and the media, let alone the lethal jihadis in FATA. It was more a question of timing and strategy than anything to do with Aunty Shamim in my opinion, though she may have been a symbol to be attacked first which noone would defend.
... but do you really feel they have any public sympathy on their side and keep in mind that public is the same religion as them? How come they only select superficial matters to get all riled up
There`s plenty of public support for this . See below:

Re: # 148 Revolution is happening. It is doubted by Indians who asked question
Is this Pakistan’s Democratic Revolution?
Aparna Pande

Pakistans Permanent Revolution

All happened in just period of 8 days, before that Dasgupta wonder if something is happenig
There some book mr. John Read wrote about russian radicals , 9(?) days that changed
world.
When I was discussing with my old boss he said he heard something like Karl Marx- that
things repeat first as tragedy and second as farce. Only time will tell what Mr. Dasgupta
said if he is reading too much in these things. My feeling is this judge stuff will pass without
thunder but those girls with Bambu and cleaning of enviornemt is real radical thing. That
will lead to different stuff ?

When mans army and police and weapons could not do much and stop sinful life style the sinful pleasures masses of young believers just with sticks started moving and all sinful castles collapsed. Like a big tsunami riding on moral principle this weak , weaponless army clean the pond. All expaks go away to land of planty and sin and live like blind to immorality as they claim pakistan is dirty pnd, can not be cleaned they move to so called clean pond called western world pond. This army of believers are cleaning pond so no body has to leave due to dirty pond which may be against laws of Country.
It is good thing , at other end young lawyers like YLH are putting their professional career at risk and suffer financially, are fighting by leagal means to restore judge. They are following lawful way, unlawful would have been to go to source of things and ask for departure of President which will too radical and revolutionary. It is big distinction hope people can understand Lawyers are asking to go by leagal way and they are ready to accept even if judge is found guilty and punished or retired. This nonradical peaceful way to obtain things, ie to live and demaed leagay things and putting limitations on demands and not allowing radical changes. Good evolutionary process than revolutionary process.

144 is good number perfect square and multiplication of two squares 3(3) x 4(4)
Is this connected tp computer rams as is always 64 (16x4), 128 (8x16), 256 (16x 16) ,512 (2x16x16) 1024 ( 2x2x16x16).
I wonder why this is so it is natural or by design ?
Any thing with number representation binary numbers (0,1)
There must be perfect simple reason. Hope some computer Tech explains. Thanks in advance.

And mian Manto.
If I were you, I would not go about so carelessly attributing canine lineage to mian Mushy as certain interactors here have done in the past! (Read below for more information.)
Man jailed for abusive remarks
LAHORE, March 29: An anti-terrorism court on Thursday sentenced a district leader of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal to five-year imprisonment for making abusive remarks against President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. The prosecution said Maulana Shabbir Ahmad Hashmi, Kasur district chief of the MMA, had made the remarks at a public meeting against the Women Protection Bill.—Staff Reporter

#118 Yasser (add-on)
[you perpetuate the hatred one feels for people like you.]
Yasser, you should not become hostage to the feelings of hate that Jinnah yielded to – which ended up costing so much to so many – and which left your land in such a sorry state.
It is that weakness of hate which causes such deep divisions in the present day Pakistani society both among different sects, different ideologues, and different classes of individuals. Everybody hates everybody – the Sunnis hate the Shias, the Sunnis and the Shias hate the minorities, the Punjabis hate the mohajirs, the khakis hate every civilian politico, the mullahs hate the women…!
The list is endless!
I realize that you must be feeling rather forlorn – when you are forced to praise the fight against the khaki injustice that the black coats are leading – who are using the tools that were so successfully used by Gandhiji! Indeed, your heart must be weeping when nobody mentions Jinnah – because Jinnah was not the type!
You see my dear, the methodology of non-violent protests was just not the way of the Jinnah!
Even YOU chickened out during your BBC interview and refrained from mentioning Jinnah – because in spite of all your falsehoods, even you have the gut sense that the interviewers would have laughed at you and probably thrown you out of that interview!
Sorry if that stark fact drives you bonkers!

abu Sahib,
What is Islam? … remains highly debatable.
On one hand Urstruly is asking for blood in the name of Islam. You on the other hand are suggesting that ummah has gone nuts and is acting like chimpanzees (... and I’ll heed your advice when you stop acting like one yourself …).
So you’re better off explaining Islam to berader Urstruly here. He still has blood in his mind, but only as long as it doesn’t interfere with his hot water supply for a mere $25-a-month.
BTW, your knowledge of Jamia Hafsa is impressive. It is now time for you to go off and feed your camel …

Re: # 139
Actually its not debatable at all. In Islam Any tom, dick, hary, mirza, their phupa huzoor and khala jaan can claim to be prophets and we are not allowed to ask them, r we suppose to just take ur word for it or can u furnish any proof....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....why bother with insignificant stuff like proofs and evidence ..they said they were prophet..that shud be good enuff..after all this is twilight zone.

dhobi ka mushy, na abdul paki ka na amrika ka..
so basically, the US got pushy with mushy and mushy, to save his tushy, sent the paki army to attack the tribals...turns out, the paki army is a bunch of pussies
Pakistan`s wild western faultline
March 31, 2007
FACED with mounting US pressure, Pakistan`s President Pervez Musharraf took a critical decision in February 2004, ordering his forces to launch the biggest offensive yet against al-Qa`ida fugitives. The US authorities had warned that they would cross the border and bomb al-Qa`ida and Taliban sanctuaries, set up after the US overthrew the Taliban regime in adjoining Afghanistan in 2001 following September 11, if Pakistan did not take action.
The Pakistani security forces launched their offensive against the militants in the second week of March 2004, once a deadline for the tribesmen to hand over foreign fighters had expired. The military authorities had boasted that the operation would be over in a couple of days, but the intensity of the fighting shocked the Pakistani army commanders. The army suffered heavy casualties in the 12 days of bloody fighting. On March 16, at least 50 soldiers were killed and many others captured by the tribesmen and their foreign guests when they raided militant hideouts. The fiercest battles took place in Kaloosha and Shin Warsak, where scores of suspected al-Qa`ida fighters had lived under the protection of local militants. Finding themselves surrounded, scores of paramilitary troops threw away their weapons and fled for their lives. It was a no-win situation for the government forces. They could not abandon the operation halfway and had to use bombers and helicopter gunships against what was earlier described as ``a handful of foreign militants and some local miscreants``. In the first couple of weeks the military had lost more than 120 soldiers. Pashtun paramilitary soldiers deserted the government forces in droves as the offensive against al-Qa`ida and their tribal supporters descended into chaos.
Pakistani Major General Niaz Khattak, who along with more than 7000 troops had started this operation against al-Qa`ida fugitives, had lost hundreds of soldiers in battles with al-Qa`ida and its tribal supporters before he could establish partial control over this extremely hostile land. But peace remained elusive. The militants continued to hold sway, despite the military`s claim of having cleaned up the region. In many cases, the Government had bribed the militants to buy peace.

#126, {``I think running brothels in a Muslim country under protection of laws (the newly ammended Hadud law), enforcing zina, fornication, and adultery ... all fall into that category where an armed resistance against corrupt ruling elite becomes inevitable...``}
Janab Mohtaram Maulana Urstruly Sahib,
I understand all that, especially the adultery and prostitution stuff, but how do you feel about lap dances? My neighbor back in the US swears that he saw you and Hamidum Sahib having a couple of beers while getting lap dances in Windsor. :)

There`s an impressive women body (is it unislamic to use this word `body`?) in Kashmir that can give Jamia Hafsa a run 4 its money. Let me introduce Asiya Andrabi who routinely closes brothels, video shops, bueaty parlours, movie houses, fashion shows or whatever she `thinks` that are unislamic.
If u go to Gangetic plains we have the bitch-in-chief Sadhvi Ritambara and in Gujarat peninsula we have an assortment of goons, goonesses (can I use that word?) who does Lal Masjid-type jobs on daily basis.
Have some consolation guyz!

how can raiding someone`s house, kidnapping two ladies, tying them up and dragging them, be considered islamic?.....it is bad enough that it was done.........but the fact that certain people are supporting it, is beyond belief..
........as they say, man (or in this case women) proposes, God disposes.........hence, from an islamic point of view, i predict a very bad future for the women who did the raiding and dragging........that lady, after all, was put on this earth, by God.......one would think, God would not like one of his creations to be treated like that........
it is one thing to stand up to a govt..........one can understand how someone would support them for that.......it is totally another to raid a women`s house and drag her through the mud.........a sign of cowardice, if you ask me.........
