LAHORE: An additional sessions judge from Kasur held the trial of an alleged blasphemer at the Kot Lakhpat Jail and awarded him death sentence on Thursday. According to the prosecution, the accused, Abdul Hameed (45) of Bhai Phairu, had erected a model of the Kaba in his house and had claimed to be a prophet. Bhai Phairu police registered a case against Hameed under sections 295 A and C of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) on March 3, 2006, on the complaint of Ghulam Mustafa Zia, a prayer leader of the area. Witnesses in the case said Hameed had claimed that his Kaba was the original one and people should visit it for pilgrimage instead of going to Saudi Arabia.

There is an urdu proverb that goes ``iss hamam main sab nangay hain`` (everyone is naked in this bathhouse). The point being that you can bring examples of funny things mullahs are doing - such as the ones you quoted, and someone else can bring funny things that enlightened moderates are doing - such as rape of laws and constitution.
And then you have the author of this article......he goes the length of the article feigning objectivity which soon unravels as he teaches us that an election is ``free`` only when certain parties win and the West approves of it!
So yes, you and I maybe naked in this hamam, but the nangapan of this author takes the cake :)

....... look, i have always maintained that prostitution is an honorable profession and IF ms. shamim was involved in it i don`t see anything wrong with it ...... more power to her ! ....... these women provide an essential service and the market forces should be allowed to prevail without state interference - we have seen what has happened to pia and the railways ......
......... on the other hand, the girls of jamia hafsa, are criminal whackos who should either be smoked out or burned alive like the branch dravidians ......... i hate to see such waste, but these girls pose an imminent threat to womanhood, decency and civilization ..............

I am hoping for the kidnapping of Hamidm on his next trip to Pakistan. If Jamia Hafsa girls can cure a pimp, there is no reason why they cant cure a prostitute.

........ thanks for pointing out my freudian slip ....... come to think of it, there are a couple of dravidians on this forum who should be locked up in the jamia hafsa before we let janet do her thing......... however, it is quite likely that these dravidians might actually enjoy the experiece of being set upon by two thousand virgins .......
