#570 Ranjit {``Salim, are you a ghar jamai?``}
Dear Mr. Ranjit,
No, my wife and I live in our own apartment. But the building is owned by my father-in-law. :) I am married to my cousin and my father-in-law heads the company started by his wife`s grandfather or my own great grandfather. Confused? :) Enough about me. Let`s focus on the topic of the article. Thanks. :)

klpd, BJKumar, Ranjit,
Thank you for your speculation concerning my father-in-law. No, he is not Pakistani and certainly not a PPP. He has never set foot in India or Pakistan. He is a Turk. BJ Bhayya could not be my father-in-law because the kind and gentle Bihari Babu is too sensitive, too sober, and extremely considerate. :) OTOH, Hamidum Sahib, if he didn`t speak any Urdu, would make me very suspicious .... :)

#565 HP {``#565 by HP on April 16, 2007 10:20am PT
Post # 564 is a proof that mohajirs have no issues in Karachi.. ``}
HP,
Your insensitive and cavalier treatment of Mohajir issues betrays your own considerable bigotry and hatred. We all know how you feel about the Pakistanis ``stranded`` in Bangladesh. For your information, consulates are established between countries on a reciprocal basis. People having to travel in person to Islamabad or New Delhi create personal hardships, especially when there is no process for obtaining visas by mail.
The quotas in Sindh that discriminate against urban dwellers in favor of rural ones are unique in that there is no such distinction in Punjab, NWFP, and Balochistan. Aasfi Bhai has pointed this out in the past, but you keep circumventing the real issue. The acquisition of guns by Mohajirs was a desperate response to the various armed gangs of drug lords, ethnic goons, and political favorites unleashed on Karachi and its citizens during the days of Zia.
I don`t want Sindhis to starve. I just want them to realize that by choking the Mohajirs off from education, employment, and other opportunities, they are encouraging the Mohajirs to become mohajirs once again. The substantial emigration of Mohajirs from Pakistan to US, UK, Australia, and the Middle East is a huge loss for Pakistan, and in the long run will hurt the Sindhis. Mohajirs have been a very positive influence in liberating poor Sindhis in their struggle against fellow Sindhi vaderas and cruel feudal lords. Please try to be more compassionate and less jingoistic. :)
