Daer Mazhar Mazhar:
I read recently an article by a well known Pkistani Columnist, Syed Saleem Chassid -who wrote,``
....- Military rule in Pakistan since 1958 has been characterized by the strengthening of an oligarchy that, although not necessarily drawn from the military, has certainly served the military establishment and its goals. This oligarchy comprises the serving and retired military elite as well as civilian stakeholders in the system, including politicians, academics, journalists, clerics and even militants. The oligarchy has penetrated all tiers of society and has taken on a strength of its own. .....`` . It successfully confronts the monster of renegade Islamic militant groups, manipulates opposition political parties......``.
This observation is so well put. Don`t you think?
I don`t wish to enjoy the idea of Schaden freude`, but face it. Pakistan was not created to be a Muslim state but a state created only for Muslims. This deeply ingrained mind set never accepted idea of democracy. That is how it has fallen to the present state of misery.
Path to a democratic state will be very hard, arduous painful but must giveup the present mindset, if Pakistanis were to enjoy peace, rule of law etc for all citizens some time in a distant future. In the mean time, just pray hard for some sort of divine intervention. It sgould help!

This all thing happen because MQM and Govt of Pakistan do that, i think MQM and Govt of Pakistan thing people are fool out there who cannot think, what is happening around us. People have closed their eyes and only MQM and Govt of Pakistan can only see.
When i was looking all this for constantly for around 7-8 hours what is happening out side the building of Aaj TV, i literally cry, what the hell is Police and other people who can stop all this shit. But no body came there.
When Geo was showing the people are on the street and no body out there to take their body to hospital so that their lives can be saved, I was thinking to kill all the fucking sindh Govt.
Govt of Sindh was drunk. Their minister is fucking asshole was saying police will be there in 30 min. and no body came there.
And when they came after 6 hours, people were still standing with guns and they don`t catch a single body. What the fuck it is.
And out there that stupid asshole ``Bahi`` giving its speech sitting in cold room in England and giving its fucking speech with no content.
I don`t know what else to say, I am literally crying out here when i am writing all this and don`t know what to say more, except that i don`t know what Govt of Pakistan whats to do with this country.
First i like Mr. Pervaz, but today i hate him so much from the day this all incident began (9th of March) that i cannot show how much.
He is fucking hypocrate. and there is fucking ``Durani`` who just lie.

I am actually quite surprised that MQM has chosen to throw its lot with an unelected unpopular dictator like Mush. What do they seek/hope to gain? Wouldn`t it better to be enjoying the loaves of office without actually muddying their hands in Mush`s favour?
Quite puzzling.

feel very sorry for all happened in Karachi !!!!!!
A line said by politicans including those who did that ,everyone was very sad including Mushy and PML-Q who were celebratiing ,enjoying and spend millions of rupees in that so called rally .
According to my views no one is loyal with the citizens of Pakistan and everyone is just playing around with the nation whether they are politicians or kala-coat wala .
har koi apni takat ke nashe main mast hua wa tha ....aur hua kia karachi main zulm .....strikes aur kia .. ???
their is one question which arises in my mind while watching the live coverage of war in Kabul oh i mean Karachi (which was like Kabul n modern taliban wearing pant-shirt )....... that who were those guyz and how those guyzz got arms .... ???
and why ppl support them .....i think itz all because of dirty politics ..no one is loyal ...!!! and every1 wants power .......
one more thing on that day police didn`t even arrest a single badmash ......y .. ??
i think lets try to clean karachi with all those politicans and police-man

{Now, who broke the law more, those who killed innocent Pakistanis or who broke few CDs? Who broke the law, those who are supporting an illegitimate dictator based on his ethnicity and killing and brutalizing hundreds of innocent Pakistanis?
Now, who broke the law more, those who illegally snatched CJP`s right to come to Karachi or those who wished to have peaceful rallies?
Now , who broke the law, those who are doing everything to sabotage the democracy or those who wished to furnish democracy? }
Lady,
What is broken is broken, there can be no excuses or compromises when laws are broken, civil rights are violated, human life is desroyed. Sadly, there is no difference in those morons blowing up CD shops, beheading people for their political affinities or those urbanite goons killing and attacking people for their poltical motives.
Next time Mqm ppl kill someone they too may raise the Takbeer..ALLAH-O-AKBAR and shoot to kill, will that make it Halal? For ppl like u it may, that helps no one or changes anything.

Another very sad day for Karachi, Pakistan. Scores of people have been killed, hundreds injured and real threat of another bloody ethnic fissure that destroyed Karachi in the eighties-nineties.
What Mqm has done at the behest of its chief patron is reprehensible, disgusting and politically abhorrent. What amazes me is the kamakazi style of Mqm leadership, its either everything or nothing. What is wrong with these people? have they not heard of due process, political maturity, tolerance and believing in the ability of their supporters to differentiate btw what is good and what is bad? Fascists, that is the only word to describe such tactics.
While Karachi was burning, our honorable chief (Mush) and his Poonjabi supporters were blowing their trumpets of victory in Islamabad. There was no remorse, worry or signs of empathy for those who were killed. Such is the disgusting reflection for the nation.
Altaf Hussein may have made his biggest and fatal mistake by tying the knot with a dictator who has no qualms in sacrificing even his closest confidantes. The Commando training may have been limited to survival of the chief only, cause there is evidence of collective survival.
Why let Mqm do their dirty work? Why not let the Chaudhries continue with their cleansing that started with the attack on Geo? Cause the Chaudhries are smart enuff to understand their limits and play for the long term. Altaf Hussein has once again shown what a meglomaniac is amde of, while Karachi was burning this idiot was still giving speeches in front of a poorly attended audience.
Pakistan needs good, clean leadership, one cannot expect anything from the Mullas, Mqms or the Imran Khans that leaves us wondering.....and that is exactly how the army has always played its game. Make the ppl completly helpless, exhaust them of options and then step in as saviors. This is how politics is run in the land of the pure.

News from Pakistan
Yesterday, I had the unfortunate opportunity to watch Musharraf addressing a government-funded rally in Islamabad. No, I will not call him the president because according to the Pakistani law I know, he does not qualify to have that honorable title. And no, I will not call him a general either because according to the Pakistani law I know, he was disgracefully deposed by an elected prime minister. I may not like that prime minister, but that is a part of democracy and the office he held was certainly an honorable one.
But what I saw yesterday was a third class dictator, totally disconnected from the reality that the majority of Pakistanis absolutely detest him. This was a rare occasion when this military uniform leech was dressed in civilian white clothes, making a mockery of everything civilized. In his signature rude tone, he was once again making big claims, showing his fists like a petty thug and talking garbage while his sidekicks clapped and praised his every move.
The backdrop of this drama was a mix of upbeat songs in Islamabad with paid dancers dancing on those tunes and assorted sounds of various bullets flying in Karachi, penetrating through flesh and bones of a number of ordinary Pakistanis whose lives perhaps didn’t matter to the repulsive dictator and his pet political parties. The music and the bullets went on for hours and hours while the disgusting dictator remained in his usual vicious self, having threatened crowds of poor Balochis just a couple of days earlier.
In middle of his speech, Musharraf warned the lawyers to stop indulging in politics. In Pakistan, only monkeys in military uniform have the right to throw their oaths in dustbins and play dirty politics. This is one of the few instances in our history when people are out on the streets for something other than non-issues and religious sentimentalism. Lawyers like Iqbal and Jinnah created Pakistan, and this time, lawyers are at the forefront of this movement. On the foreign front, Musharraf has far exceeded his shelf life for the US, especially with democrats looking to get the Whitehouse back.
When I see the tyranny of few in Pakistan, I wonder how long it will last. I wonder if the day will come when people will drag the likes of Musharraf out of their palaces and into the streets and make examples out of them. I wonder if the army officers with any self-respect will refuse to fire bullets on their own people and rebel for their country. The first drop has already fallen with the Chief Justice of Pakistan saying no to Musharraf, and now a storm is brewing which has the potential to wipe him away.
Musharraf, no one is afraid of you anymore and you have closed all your safe exits yourself!
Very true.........sigh*

I truly believe that CJP has all the rights to have peaceful rallies, they did their peaceful demonstrations throughout Pakistan with no riots, with no blood shed. CJP`s right to go to Karachi is within the constitution of Pakistan and no one can snatch that right from him or from other citizens of Pakistan as long as they are marching peacefully.
Now, Karachi is not a separate country, Karachi is an integral part of Pakistan.
MQM ( so called champions of democracy and champions of poor people`s rights) disrupted CJP`s right to come to Karachi and started attacking and harrassing other peaceful people of Karachi who set the stage for the demonstrations. Not only harrassed them, they started gun fires and started killing innocent Pakistanis for NO reason at all.
And the most tragic and shameful aspect of all this tragedy is MQM( a political party) did all these killings purely for the support of Musharaf, the worst dictator. Why?
Obviously,Musharaf and MQM are from the same ethnic background. So, MQM`s shameless support for Musharaf proves one thing for sure, that MQM was/is/will never ever be a sincere and loyal political party...A political party means who works for the establishment of pure democracy.
What kind of crap party is this? which is supporting an illegitimate Army dictator, just because of his ethnicity and in this process MQM puts Mushy`s dictatorship above democracy.........Sad haan.
Few days back MQM has had their rally against Mullahs....Mullahs did not kill anyone at least, they just broke CDs and closed some music stores......they made a big fuss about it and label it as law breaking Mullahs( I am not in favor of those Mullahs either)
Now, who broke the law more, those who killed innocent Pakistanis or who broke few CDs?

Now, who sabotaged the law and created all this lawlessness in Karachi....MQM and Musharaf.......
We will never ever forgive both of them for the blood shed of poor Pakistanis........they have to answer ..........sitting in London and ordering for all these riots doesn`t give us the answers........
Altaf Pai and MQM are the gifts of Zia ul huq to Pakistan and now Pakistan has to suffer and Karachi is burning since then......................
Musharaf and MQM are just a disgrace to Pakistan.......Musharaf`s son Bilal is safe in Boston.......
But, those who got killed on the streets of Karachi, their mothers are crying tonight and their children might not get any food tomorrow,b/c their fathers are gone....they are now orphans, they will go hungry to beds....with tears of helplessness...................
sad, sad, sad................
Media is helpless, Geo tv is helpless, Pakistanis are helpless...Musharaf and MQM are in power..........Let`s see how much more blood shed these monsters will suck before leaving their dictatorship.......

No, Mushy was/is/will be never loyal to Pakistan, this man is only loyal for his dictatorship...
Yes, I do admit that in the beginning I did admire Mushy`s few foreign policies, but, then after few months seeing his internal policies my veiws absolutely changed.............
And now I really wish Mushy to leave Pakistan alone......Allah kaa wasta haiy Mushy ,``challa jaa.``

Dear writer
Very timely article. We need more sensitive souls like you on chowk. This is black sad day in the history of Pakistan, where Pakistanis are killing other Pakistanis.............What else could be more sad?
It is hurtful and tragic to feel the pain of those who were brutally murdered innecessantly ............all this blood shed of innocent people for NOTHING........
Oh, innocent Pakistani people I am sad and ashamed.......I feel helpless...........people of my country are being brutalized invain........
I feel I am being murdered....
I was raised in Karachi and I still remember how much I used to love Clifton, sandspits and defence..... My heart is crying for Karachi....What a beautiful city and is burning for NO reason........
Remember when any governance tries to choke Media, that`s the END of that governance.
And I think Mushy`s end is almost there. MQM and Mushy are responsible for all the killing sof these innocent Pakistanis......and I am surprised to see insensitivity of some interactors who are trying to disolve this tragedy with, ifs, buts, and lame excuses.......and they are trying to settle down their own scores..........
What if their own families are being brutalized ? Will they say the samething, NO .........
