abu_safwan #877 you write I am categgorical about my insistance that Sharia should be implemented if the jumhoor, the majority of the country wants
That is a big ``if``, and an ``if`` that changes sharia (laws of allah, as determined by the king or by the king`s appointees) into ordinary laws as introduced after proper debate by properly elected legislatures in all civilized countries of the world. So, what you say is certainly consistent with the democratic process. What you need to understand is that this is not the process through which the dictators, kings and khalifa-wannabes of the muslim world introduce laws, and this is not the process the maulvi has in mind when he talks of the sharia.
Take the example of sharia law in Pakistan are Hadood and Blasphemy Laws - these were introduced without the benefit of your big ``if``. These were introduced by an unelected dictator, and the maulvis have fought tooth and nail to maintain these laws while neither calls for a full public debate followed by a referendum!! That is because they know very well that these laws have done untold misery not to the well off or well-connected, but to the weakest members of Pakistani society - women from poor families in case of Hadood Laws, and young boys from poor christian families lacking any connections, some unfortunate lecturer who became the target of his students. Knowing all this, they stick to these laws not because they are followers of Islam, but because they are followers of their own lust for power. The allows the maulvi to usurp power, and that to him his more important than the terrible injustices and cruelties these laws inflict upon ordinary people. Inshallah these rascals will meet justice in the next world.

Oh buzurgo are u trying to be dishonest and a simpleton on purpose. I am categgorical about my insistance that Sharia should be implemented if the jumhoor, the majority of the country wants. Do i really have to tell you that i am advocating a shura of the elders in this day and age, those were different times obviosuly. I was giving you guys unearned credit, that maybe you`ll be able to read between the lines. My point about narrating the story Abdu-Rehamn Bin auf was to stress the fact that Omer RAW went far and beyond above the call of the duty to make sure that no favoritism to family was shown. But you ran with something absurd.

Urstruly,
The problem lies with the prologue itself. You cannot make stuff up, you know. Or should I remind you of that line about ``opinions``?
If you expect a prophet from 2000 years to climb out of his grave, then keep waiting. Once he appears, you’ll have all your answers. Any day now - all you need is faith.
As for the views of your ullema, feel free to enlighten tahmed ... he is now admittedly looking up to your mullah to understand Islam.

Re: # 872
I said, not to make an issue of the prologue part of my post, since everybody knows about these issues and how Islam differs on them from Quadiatniyat. So my question still remains.

Urstruly,
Nice try to mischaracterize the issue while pretending to ask a question! You`ll forever remain a swine.
“… Every Prophet of God has predicted the coming of the next Prophet that would proceed after him …”
Not to my knowledge! Where did you get this? Note that according to ahadith, 124,000 prophets have been raised by Allah Almighty.
”… and every one of them predicted the coming of the last Prophet i.e. Holy Prophet (pbuh). …
Who called him the last prophet? Or are you making this up?
”…Interestingly enough, this tradition of Prophets informing their adherents about the coming Prophets stops at Holy Prophet (pbuh). …”
Of course not! Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) foretold coming of a prophet among Muslims and referred to him as Issa!!
Some simpletons think Issa from 2000 years ago will descend from above clouds, in flesh and blood. Please tell me you are not one of them … otherwise this discussion may as well go down the toilet …
+++
BTW, you may still thank me for delivering tahmed to you. He is now fully on-board with verdicts of ullema … and now you know how to shut him up. BTW, lately he’s been fond of the “Fifth”? No, I don’t mean Bethovan, but the type that is non-incriminating.

Ok, but I will check. You better be bleached; because that was the prediction by Lucifer himself.

Sattar
I have an inquiry, just for the sake of educating myself. Every Prophet of God has predicted the coming of the next Prophet that would proceed after him and every one of them predicted the coming of the last Prophet i.e. Holy Prophet (pbuh). While Bible named him as Paraclete (pbuh) which is Latin equivalent of Ahmad (pbuh), the Talmudic Traditions (Old Testament) detailed his appearnce to such extent as having a large mole between his shoulders. Interestingly enough, this tradition of Prophets informing their adherents about the coming Prophets stops at Holy Prophet (pbuh). But lets not make it an issue here. I just want to know what has Mirza Sahib predicetd about the next prophet that will (or have) proceed him. Are there any special qualities he would possess so that we would be able to identify him?

hamidm: far be it for me to separate the ahmedi from his prophet, the jamaatiya from his maulvi, the pir-worshipper from his pir, the king-worshipper from his king, sheep from his shepherd, the good ole boy from his bar stool. :-)

zeemax (#865),
No, he can stay with the religion of Allah, Quran, and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). However, you and your ullema may still pass legislation and declare him too a non-Muslim.
Hey, it worked the first time around. And look at the progress ummah has made since then! (grin)

#863 by sattar2,
So I guess we`ve got to let him start yet another new religion ... no one else wants him ... hamidm2 is right ... :)
