In a press conference at Lahore after the CEC meeting of Pakistan Tehreek –e-Insaf, Chairman Imran Khan has declared Altaf Hussain, leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) as the No 1 terrorist of Pakistan.

He further said that General Musharaf while claiming to be fighting terrorism, is sponsoring the biggest terrorist of this country.

PTI is studying the possibility of going to court in UK against Prime Minster Tony Blair for harboring a terrorist.

Being a Urdu Speaking and lived during the early years of my life in distric central ,near firdous cinema(now firdous shopping centre)in Karachi.i had the change to experience the cruelest manifestaion of evil in the history of pakistan in the shape of MQM and its Highly whimssical ALtaf Hussain.

But first i would like to refer what international news and thinktank organization has to say about Altaf Hussain..

`` criticism againt MQM leadership,Particulary againt Altaf Hussain,was considered unpardonable and the whole organization was run on the style of Nazi and Fascist parties of Germany and Italy.

The MQM leadership dealt harshly with dissident and complelled them to leave the city`` (Asian Survey Oct.1996,1037;see also JANE`S INTELLIGENCE REVIEW july 1996; Asia Times 22Jan.1997.


The State Department of USA said, in June 1995, in its Human rights Report regarding Pakistan,wherein inter-alia about the incident of alleged gang rape of Farzana, the report contains a finding ``although the MQM/A consistenly claims that its activists are innocent, unarmed victims of ethnic violence, disinterested observers believe that cells of armed MQM/A activists are responsible for aconsidrable amount of Karachi`s violence and crime. This include extortion of large sums of Money from Mohajir Businessmen as well as others.

In an apparent attempt to inflame public opinion and destablize the situationin Karachi, MQM/A Hussain alleged gang rape of an MQM/A supporter (while in custody)to call for three `` days of mourning`` in Karachi june 24-26.At least 67 people died in strike-related ciolence during the protest. Medical report (Agha Khan Univ. Hospital)on the alleged victim,however,did not substantiate the charges of gang rape. The MQM/A enforce numerous other strike calls with violence, resulting in the deaths of law enforcent personnel and civilian bystanders``.


This is what Daily Jang columnist, Nazim Siddiqui wrote on June 24,1987 after 30,000 copies of Jang News paper were burnt in Hyderabad
`` Altaf Hussian demands that Jang should;publish his statements and photographs in places prepsed by him.and that his opponents views should not be brought into print. No political party or leader has made such a demand in 47 years``.

I am surprised no one has ever said what Imran just did. isn`t it public knowledge what MQM operates? I find it ironic that people are more scared to speak out against this thug than the dictator. Goes to prove how deep rooted of a problem he is. No one is above the law. No one. I just hope more people would come out and stand up to this goon for one.

Not many have courage to speak the truth in front of such a threat(MQM). I salute Imran Khan for declaring Altaf hussain as a terrorist. He should be brought to justice and no one should mince words in telling the reality of MQM and Altaf Hussain to the public. On the name of neutrality, many political analysts and TV channels are hiding facts from the public. It is better to be truthful than being this so called ``neutral``.

The mere fact that a substantial percentage of our countrymen actually venerate Mr. Altaf Hussain is extremely distressing. Listening to his speeches which reflect sheer ignorance and uncouthness makes me wonder why can’t we have great leaders. In terms of ability, expertise and intelligence, Pakistanis are in no way lesser than any other nation in the world, all we need is to oust people like Mr. Hussain who relish in the ignorance of the followers, and support people like Mr. Imran Khan who have an immense drive to support the nation and guide the people towards progression. I think Mr. Khan should totally go ahead with his decision.

Imran khan you are racist i think you forgot when you were looking donation for SHAUKET KHANUM CANCER HOSPITAL in lahore so people from karachi gave you huge donation and that was because of MQM. Mr khan you are a leader you are not suppose to say to anyone that he is terror or people from karachi are terrorist. so if you wanna be a future prime minster of pakistan so try to win the heart of urdu speaking with sweet words not your typically harsh words thats all.

as for mr.altaf hussain..........yesterday i was chattin wid an urdu speaking guy.............n da hatred he showed towards sindhi`s,punjabi`s,pathans n baluchi`s was unbelieveble..................i could not believe how strongly misguided he was..............dis man is really evil n belongs in hell n i hope dat Khan is da person who sends him there...inshallah!

I am surprised whenever someone speaks against the fascist activities of MQM its followers start blaming others of rascim interestingly when MQM was itself born on this rascist agenda, sowing the seeds of hatred in this metropolitan city, a city once known for its tolerance and economic welfare. MQM claims the support of Urdu speaking community which infact in not all truth. I have recently been to Karachi for more than four years unfortunately this community has suffered the most in MQM`s reign of terror.
Mush and MQM have been exposed to international media. Look at CNN, BBC and British Media all unequivocally holding MQM responsible for Karachi carnage. Our local media can be silenced, our experts can be threatenend but they failed to shut the mouth and eyes of international community.

We must salute to Talat Husain of Aaj, Asma Shirazi and Kashif Abbasi of ARY for covering Karachi rallies and speaking all truth without any fear of MQM.

We all Pakistanis love urdu and urdu speaking community as we love our pakhtoon,punjabi,sindhi,kashmiri,saraiki and baloch brothers.

We are all one and one for all. As everyone can see that the whole nation stands united with the Chief Justice for the rule of Law in this lawless land.

Fact of the matter is that every single political, religious, student organization in Pakistan generally and in Karachi specifically have dens filled with modern day weapons barring Tehreek-e-insaaf maybe, but MQM is not the exception in this fiasco rather the rule. Iss hummam mein sabb nangay hein. So let’s start from there. MQM is like sushi, you either love it or you hate it and when your inclinations are extreme then its rather had to have a civil discourse. I know the inns and outs of MQM so my apologies but I would rather not subscribe to the notion that Altaf Hussein is epitome of everything good, but its also nauseating when immense hatred and bigotry flow from the same individuals who are outraged and justifiably so I might add, at the inhumane and barbaric posture of American and Israeli forces, but some how endorse when Naseerullah Babar and his thugs shoots the youth of his own country at point blank range and pushes human beings from 10 story buildings to die a horrible death.

These are the same bigots who found justification for the rapes and murder of their own muslim brethren in Bangladesh. I am saying lets assume for a second here that everyone that Naseerullah babar killed was in fact a murderer himself, my question is that in a civilized world, shouldn’t state display a lil more responsibility and shouldn’t they rather, I dunno maybe have a court and witnesses before they go on this killing rampage?

I personally think that MQM has done more harm to Urdu Speaking people than everyone put together. Hamaray Aslaaf or aabao-ajdad ka tarka to tehzeeb or ilmm tha, how does this bhaand Altaf Hussein figures in to that?

But only the people of Karachi can make them irrelevant thru the power of their vote, it might not happen in next elections, mqm shud thank the dynamic nazim of Karachi Mustafa kamal who has done exceptionally well but it can happen if the sincere political parties whose leadership is non-urdu speakin can demonstrate to the urdu-speaking majority of Karachi that they are not bigots and are willing to give everyone there fair share in the pie. I am afraid that popularity of MQM, Mukti Bahni, Mengals, Bugtis have a root cause and unfortunately the popularity of these separatist is a byproduct of the military-rule that Punjab has always patronized. Its not a mere coincidence that all the minorities in Pakistan have a bone to pick with Punjab. I think that times are changing however and the recent events are very heartening for everyone that has an ounce of love for pakistaN because Punjab at last has decided to be no longer the girl-friend of the oppressive Army, I am just surprised actually disgusted why MQM is flirting with the same forces that have wreaked so much havoc on our city not in distant past. Democracy suits MQM, it’s a disastrous policy and political suicide to sleep with the oppressor in this time in our history especially when the entire country looks ready to turn the page on our sorry affairs.
