I was not pontificating on Islam but was pontificating on good manners and restraint ( word that I suppose does not exist in your dictionary). Philosopher is basically a good person and as another human being`s well wisher, it is my job to save him from your clutches (your influence).
Now coming to Islam, let us see if you can give logical answers to the questions I raised yesterday or you will shy away telling me that being hindu I won`t understand.

Why be sad and optimistic at the same time?

How could enlightenment and moderation go together? It was just hypocrisy (munafiqat). It seems to be a defining interlude in the Paky history. It is, what they say, `Damma dam must qalandar`. The Lal Masjid is doing a yeomans job in exposing `munafiqana` moderation of the Paky society wherein a minister could openly maintain a keep at public expence in the heart of the capital and no body took notice of it except the mullah of the lal masjid.

Again, you must have heard the report about the tracing of Nishtar Park suicide bomber who had killed dozens of the leaders of the Sunni Jamaat by exploding himself. That bomber reportedly belonged to `Lashkare Jhangwi`, an extremist anti-shia organization. But don`t be surprized as I had seen posters and wall-chalkings (by some extremist Wahabi group perhaps) which condemned both sunny (Barelvi?) and shia as `mushrikeen`.
