As an Indian , i feel that Pakistan army has a country and pakistanis to get served by , rather than a country and pakistanis to serve . Army is bigger than the nation !!! Pakistan does not need any ``dushman`` in India... only the Pak Army needs India to stay powerful in Pakistan..Think about it.

Pakistan as we know it is doomed. Punjab Univeristy is protecting the plagiarizing faculty from Physics department. Lawyers are ``outlawed`` and Judges are being Judged! Dande-Waliyan of Lal Masjid are terrorizing the Mush regime right in Isloo. Altaf Bhai is on a killing spree - remote controlled from London of course. Imran is prevented from traveling within Pakistan. People of Pakistan have no where to turn to, we all know that BB and Nawaz are ``expired medicines``.

Pakis...congrats...you`ve really made history...For the first time in the world, the cops have cracked the skulls of lawyers and the people have come down on the side of the lawyers...

nice article, but now i think the civil society should stop talking of these high ranked red collar military officers involved in civil matters.bcoz now the game has moved to another level, first get these SOBEDAARS and HAWALDAARS out of civil institutions.
Just imagine that in Punjab a JCO,sobedaar and hawaaldar has been given the responsibility to rade publically owned schools and hospitals to check the performance of Teachers and Doctors.

A Lie,
Complaining against oppression, injustice, hegemony, rape, looting, and murder does sound like a ``broken record.`` Some people are already sick of the Holocaust - but it doesn`t stop those who want to make sure that such misdeeds are NEVER repeated again. NEVER AGAIN, KOPEK!

Imran,
You raised some very good points but what fears me the most is who will be the one to take his place. We have had enough with all the crappy political leaders and I don`t see any hope for a better change.
God Bless Pakistan formed in the name of Islam with worst followers as the nation.

Under what law is the Chief of Army Staff addressing a meeting of a political party?

http://www.nation.com.pk/daily/jun-2007/7/index3.php
This is a blatant violation of his oath.

Sure dude, let`s have Go-mata burgers - I know the best joint... but only if you have bacon on it... can you handle that? I guess not...
See - that`s the problem... you are just a lowly convert, product of rape and lust of some smelly barbarians with a bedouin book up his a$$... even though centuries have past since, you are still afraid to let go... you are still holding on to that book... and dreaming some day you will be considered a bedouin...
But you will remain what you are - weak converted hinud... :)

1. Pakistan Army is run with public money.
2. From the most junior foot soldier to the Chief of Army Staff, all personnel of Pakistan Army are salaried government employees.
3. Pakistan Army is one of many departments of the Ministry of Defence, headed by the Minister of Defence
4. Being a department of the government, Pakistan Army is not above criticism. There is nothing `holy` or `sacred` about Pakistan Army.
5. In all civilised countries, Parliament has the right to know how public money is spent. However, Pakistan Army has never given an account of its expenditures to anyone. No Pakistani general has ever appeared before the Public Accounts Committee.
6. Oath of Office of members of Pakistan Army
Article 244, Third Schedule, Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
(In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful)
I,
, do solemnly swear that I will bear true faith and allegiance to Pakistan and uphold the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan which embodies the will of the people, that I will not engage myself in any political activities whatsoever and that I will honestly and faithfully serve Pakistan in the Pakistan Army as required by and under the law.
May Allah Almighty help me and guide me (A`meen)
7. When the Army is called out to help the civil administration in times of natural calamities or law and order situations, it is not an act of charity (ihsan); the Army simply does its duty for which it is paid. Every national Army in every country does the same. Moreover, Pakistan Army does not help the civil administration free of charge; it gets extra payment for its services.
8. Pakistan Army has never won a war.
9. Despite being a political party in all but name, and despite ruling the country, directly and indirectly, for much of its existence, Pakistan Army has never won an election.
10. Pakistan Army has conquered Pakistan 4 times.

Mr Ghazanavi`s left ball, if you go back tracing your lineage, more likely than not you will learn that you are the product of the rape of some hapless Hindu woman ( who would be your great great great great great great grand mother) by the marauding raiders who you claim to represent. So just take it easy with claiming to be Ghazanavi`s kinsman and have your system analysed for cow urine content and be happy with your Hindu origins, you will be at peace with yourself.
