How much did this writer promise to fork over for putting in a good word?!

Reading this piece was a chore. I gave up after a page. Writer, there is too much self indulgent, loopy muttering in this piece-it is as if the narrator is caught in some snide, bhang trip-which tends to get tedious and pointless.
