At a human level, a young woman is widowed and child will grow up without a dad.

A very nice write up, Siddiqui Sahib.

Of course I do, a real one too...not everyone has the luxury of a job where you get to teach stuff with no practical value....

What is more sad is the fact that a Pakistani or Muslim audience would feel as indifferent towards it as an American audience does to the pictures of Abu Ghariab or towards the mangled burnt out corpses in the streets of Baghdad.

I think it is a war time propaganda movie directed mostly at local American audience than a global audience and so shall it be perceived as such.

Filmed mainly in Pune (Poona) India, the Karachi that many of us know is almost completely absent from this movie.

The image of a lawless country, consumed by violence and chaos is once again being promoted in this film.

Umm...maybe the image is true..which is why they had to shoot it in pune...

The compassionate heart of Karachi is missing here.

As is the fact that the person in jail for the murder, Omar Saeed Sheikh, had significant links to the ISI and was doing your jihadi bidding in India before he was released in the hostage swap..
