Pakistan should not have come into being - MAJ and Nehru did the ``who will chicken first`` grand stand. No one did.

In the Theatre of Absurd, that`s yet another absurdity... The whole thing started from theory that moslems being of pure bedouin faith cannot live with hinuds of pagan faith... there was even vote of sorts to create pakiland where muslims from various northern states voted for it...

But then when the cruch came, nobody moved.... moslems had to be kicked out to go into pure land... un-f***ing-believable.... :)

That Sir is exactly the point I am making........wasn`t TNT meant for the entire Muslim populance of India......why is it only a miniscule minority of Muslims opted for it.........and going by your statement most in Punjab did not have that option but were simply forced out of their homes........

In all fairness, the majority of those 5.5 million were from Punjab and, like their Hindu-Sikh brothers from the other side, did not have a choice in the matter.

Thanks. tahmed32 has a point to the extent that ordinary Punjabis do not have too much respect for the Mullah; from my experience they can use the choicest Punjabi expressions and have the crudest jokes about the Mullahs.
