Geo.tv Vote on 10th July, 2007 ....6.pm
Geo Vote

and this is TV...which makes it skewed because of the Kanjaroon factor.. URDU newspaper vote would be more close to the ``ground-realities``
InshaAllah! the days of the Kanjaroons are numbered... It is aperfect replay of events leading to the great revolution in Iran.
The Kanjaroons still have time to keep their visas uptodate...better still if they leave now they will not be looking for a country to grant them asylum even in their graveyards..like The ShaWH of ``Persia``

I wonder though, where were the suicide bombers, mines, booby traps, heavy weapons which Musharraf used as an excuse to go in there but Ghazi denied all along? Seems he was telling the truth.

Well all the men fought to the last bullet, just as they had promised. Rashid Ghazi was wounded but stsill didn`t accept offer to surrender and was killed. Whatever girls remain now, will carry on the movement. Hamidm is right about that.

On the contrary, Rashid Pajee wanted to surrender but was shot by his own militants. So u r partly right, he was killed but by his own people.

Are u talking about these girls:
Lal Masjid: 50 women, one dozen children rescued ISLAMABAD, July 10: Security forces rescued about 50 women and nearly a dozen boys from the basement of the Lal Masjid complex as Operation Silence completed eight hours, private TV channels reported. A teenage boy came running out one of the 70 rooms at the basement and enabled troops to rescue the trapped women and children in the rooms at the basement. No resistance or exchange of fire took place is this rescue operation, reports said. Among those rescued were Umme Hassan, wife of captured Maulana Abdul Aziz, and their daughter, the TV reported. Lovely. So, we can expect many more examples of the Lal Masjid episode?

Re: # 565 zeemax, a sad end - loss of life is sad - but the writ of the state had to run (it dont matter who heads the state - state is the state that is forever, rest are just transcient entities). BUt what is curious, isthe fact that many of the jihadis seem to be suffering ``The 1857 Syndrome`` (thanks Urstruly for this and the picture) - your #565 is a reflection of this.
Unfortunately the rot started even before that - but then Mir Jafar is a hero!

BBC Reports that Rashid Ghazi has been killed...........
My request to all like-minded human beings is that a large number of children have been exposed not only to a virulent ideology but more importantly to the trauma of the past one week...........
They desperately need professional counselling services......right now........to give them a chance to be normal adults..........
Any initiative in this matter would be most welcome.........
please do let me have your views.........

Did I say that..........selective reading I guess.......
These kids must be counselled asap......In Pakistan only...... As a person who is in early learning ability/disabilties I know the trauma these innocent kids are undergoing..........
My suggestion was to help & support these kids.......If you want to take a cynical view go ahead...........
