lol, it is funny to read posts from monkeys like zeemax, and masadi. Blame MUSHI for everything. After all the other genius ``Qazi Hussain Ahmed`` is doing the same thing. They will never ever say that this operation has been a great success for the government because jahils like ``Aunty Aziz`` are now done and so are ``her`` sewer rats. Some of the rats who are still free like zeemax and masadi will soon be gone too. They will scream and yell ``MUSHI DID IT - MUSHI DID IT`` before they dissappear into oblivion.....
Today I am PROUD to be a PAKISTANI and a MUSHARAF Supporter.
People blame that a-hole Zia (and rightfully so) for this mess but forget that BB and Nawaz ruled for 11 years and never did a thing against Lal Masjid. But of course lets blame Mushi.....lol

zeemax, philosopher and echo (?) ...
...... since you guys receive your welfare checks from her majesty`s government, you might want to be careful - your budding careers as aspiring cyber jihadis might be in jeopardy ........... the uk, and the rest of the civilized world, has had enough ..... as for the chicks with sticks and the younger male `students`, i really feel sorry for them and blame their parents for their predicament - the state should not allow them to return to their homes .........
LONDON, July 5: Three ‘cyber-jihadis’ who used the Internet to urge Muslims to wage holy war on non-believers were jailed for between six-and-a-half and 10 years on Thursday in the first case of its kind in Britain.
Tariq Al-Daour, Younes Tsouli and Waseem Mughal had close links with Al Qaeda in Iraq and thought there was a ‘global conspiracy’ to wipe out Islam, the Woolwich Crown Court in southeast London was told.
Moroccan-born Tsouli, 23, was jailed for 10 years; UAE-born Al-Daour, 21, received a six and half years sentence; and 24-year-old Mughal, who was born in Britain, was given seven and half years.
Sentencing them, Judge Charles Openshaw said the men had engaged in ‘cyber jihad’, encouraging others to kill ‘kuffars’ or non-believers.

...the public support in islamabad for this action against the terrorists of lal masjid is immense;
I don`t doubt that. So what`s your point? From responses in the media it is clear most of the country supports their demands though not their tactics.
... i do feel for those children trapped inside and not being allowed to leave though. i hope the army now just wipes the hardcore terrorists inside out...
Two children did leave today (despite your official-line parroting they`re not allowed to leave), and both were shot dead by the rangers.
zeemax, until this action by mushy you were crowing for the past month or so about the activities of these terrorists including the Burkha Brigade and how times had changed etc. etc. and how a real islamic system was in place there blah blah blah...
I don`t know where I said that. I have always said it is going to be in place. On UP I said there`ll be another (short-lived) attempt at a sham democracy and after that there`ll be an Islamic system ... however, now it is more likely to be Taliban style after this action.
...not feeling so cocky now are you as your cowardly wahabi mullahs are being smoked?
Again I don`t know what you`re talking about. If it is re Maulana Abdul-Aziz, you don`t know much about the Hafsa. You need to know its structure.
Abdul-Aziz was just the khateeb, though a fiery one, but never the main character (though he was painted to be so and the reason for your rejoicing).
Abdul-Rashid is not a Maulana (he has no religious credentials) but was basically assigned to handling the media plus administration plus negotiating duties because he`s University educated.
The mastermind and the ideological engine behind it all is Umme-Hassan, who is the charismatic and talented commander, organizer, and motivator of the Hafsa Brigade.
Both the latter along with over twelve hundred die-hard girl-students, some 300 armed fighters from outside, and about 200-250 orphan children with nowhere to go (altogether some 1900-2000 as per witnesses) are still right there after 4 days of confronting the Pakistan Army`s crack units, heavy firing/tear-gassing (now mortars as well) and refusing to surrender.
I would accept though that I had overestimated the immediate blow-back of such an action, but then the administration has wisely and very carefully calibrated its strategy in not storming outright (which many people including you still advocate in their foolishness in saying the likes of ``i hope the army now just wipes the hardcore terrorists inside out...``) which is to their credit.
Nevertheless, there has been a sudden spike in militant activity with a daily average of six servicemen dead and several more injured in attacks in various parts of the NWFP every single day since the first day, and a serious assassination attempt on Musharraf today.
But of-course, all the above incidents are unrelated :)

zeemax,
..... from the tone and tenor of your post you sound like maulana abul rashid ghazi (soon to be shaheed) ........... look, if it makes you feel any better, i for one, have not counted you guys out yet - your capacity to create mayhem might be diminished for now, but as long as you love death more than most people love life, you will be a force to reckon with ......... but true to form, you could not help blaming all this fitna on a woman !
...... also true to form, it seems that allah`s warriors are using human shields :
ISLAMABAD: Some people on Thursday complained that the Lal Masjid administration was not allowing their relatives who had gone inside the mosque premises to collect their children from coming out, while several students who surrendered said that armed guards kept them from leaving the mosque.
Mohibullah Khan from Dir told Daily Times that his nephew Azizur Rehman had gone inside the mosque to bring his sister Hajra, 12, but had not returned despite passing of several hours.
A group of Pashto-speaking men, all from remote areas of the NWFP, expressed similar complaints, saying they were waiting for their relatives who had gone inside the mosque to pick their children.
Many students, both boys and girls, who surrendered to authorities said they had been kept at the madrassa forcibly and militants had pressed them to sacrifice their lives by staying inside Lal Masjid till the end of the standoff.

#39 by hamidm2,
Yaar hamidm, how many times should I tell you. I`m not and never have been in favour of indiscriminately `targeting` civilians. Though I don`t mind 3,000 `little eichmanns` of collateral damage once in a while, particularly providing immortal images like two love-birds holding hands and jumping off the 90th floor and landing on the side-walk like eggs sunny-side up.
Nothing above suggests any shifts from my firm position of `who dunnit` :)

#43 by hamidm2,
Firstly, I greatly admire Umme-Hassan, and her behind the scenes assistant Hamsa Abdullah.
Secondly, do you mean they decided to let 1221 human shields (the official count so far and still trickling out, not including two shot dead outside this morning) go, but changed their minds now?
