hamzad, well, arjun did make an effort, but he was being genuine. Most Indians do think that religions don't make any difference whatsoever in human life (positive or negative). That view is changing slowly, but that Nehruvian ideal is not dead (although like all rightists arjun hates Nehru with a passion :)).

BTW, Nehruvian ideal is not the same as the religionist one. The latter sees religion's positive effects, just not its negative ones (for any real believer, logically, religion CANNOT have any negative effects, and we can accept that on the basis of faith).

E.g., Quran commands believers not to marry Prophet’s widows once the Prophet has passed away (33:53). You remain in denial of several such verses.

Note that these widows included Ayesha, who was ~20 years of age when the Prophet passed away. There’s more. See #220 and #225 for details. Or you could stay in denial.

Now, it’s fine for you to believe in Quran, Muhammad, etc. But it is foolish of you to try to rationalize your faith to others. That's the main point I am making here ...

Now you ask me to compare tolerance levels in the US vs Pakistan - when in fact I was comparing tolerance levels with India, not the US. For some reason you are totally confused between India and the US and see them as one country. You really should step outside and get some fresh air more often.
