Muslims esp Pak Muslims are screened very carefully for the US entry. Even if they are allowed, they are under surveillance all the time.
Forget abt IT, Indians are integrating deeeep into the US/western societies. Look at intl media persons of Indian origin, look at the English cinema, TV, comedy shows, fashion....where do 'they' stand?

I didnt say female foetus killing has to do with hinduism per se. I said India is the only country in the world where millions of such killings have taken place.
You did say and I quote: "and hindu customs are not as harmless as you seem to think (see two examples in #127)" and the examples you gave were those of female foeticide and suicide bombings by the LTTE.
It does mean that Indian society is not exactly issue-free.
Nowhere did I say India doesn't have problems. God knows we have our fair share of problems.
Indeed, it seems to me in many ways your problems are much bigger than ours.
I beg to disagree. Pakistan's problem of Islamic fundamentalism is not just a threat to non-Muslims but Muslims themselves (the labeling of moderate Muslims as "Munafiqs").
I have never seen you or any Indian (other than Stuka) use the above arguments when some Indian starts acting as if Islam is the evil religion?
That is because Islam does not become evil when someone says it is. Islam becomes evil when a few Muslims (maybe a tiny minority, but nevertheless) resort to violence and indulge in stuff of the kind we're seeing day in a day out (the last 10-15 days have seen almost a dozen suicide bombings in Pakistan alone).

Ahmed, U are again clever by a quarter, this time.
I was telling that all Indians are not Modis & u say I am backing him?
History is the witness (1947) and contemporary history is a witness (Muslim majority Kashmir) abt this Muslim majority thing. They cant live in India in a democratic framework but dont mind emigrating - like u did - in droves to the western countries.
What are u defending here?
Abt Gandhi's sleeping habits. What abt Jinnah's peadophilia? At his age he ogled an underage girl or sex.

#145 Folio: Where did you learn "pak muslims are screened very carefully for US entry" than Indian e.g.? Dont just repeat things some Indians write on chowk without thinking - since then you are merely descending to their level of stupidity. Weigh the evidence and the logic for yourself first.

Folio..
Pakis are screened all across the western world..Mandatory, if you are Paki to spend quality time with immigration and security officials of those countries....names like tahmed etc are programmed to raise a flag and alert officials against a nut-case entering their country........

#139 The prophet was a messenger, that is all. While no doubt many muslims try to make him a de facto god, the fact is that the Quran is very clear on this.
*****
This is a good start. If the person himself is bad, how can you believe that he carried the right message. It could be that he was making up everything to suit himself. If you accept that the prophet is not someone special or not worthy to emulate how can you offer the unconditional support for the message he carried. It is not that message itself is logical or consistent. If you look at the message he brought it had special rules for himself (like the exception to 4 wives rule) and also special messages for his wives. That by itself is a pointer that he was making everything up (from talking to an angel and going to the heaven to meet God and all the prophets).
For people interested please read the Hadiths for juicy stories and a lot of fun. I specially like the Hadith in which Mohammad fought for reducing the number of prayers to 5 from a large number by pestering the God.. Thanks Allah, otherwise Muslims would now be praying umpteen times instead of the 5. Think about hearing the "la ilaha" from the nearby mosque for 24 hours.
:-)

hh #146 "Islam becomes evil when a few Muslims (maybe a tiny minority, but nevertheless) resort to violence "
Did christianity become evil when Hitler killed millions of innocent people? Did buddhism and shintoism become evil when Japanese killed millions of innocent people? Did hinduism become evil when Modi killed 3000 innocent people?
Individuals commit crimes. Religion/ideology is merely an excuse they use. Everyone knows that. That is why christianity, buddhism and shintoism were not banned, or even considered relevant to the issues, after World War II.
Indians merely use incidents of terrorism committed in the name of Islam as an excuse to demonize what is a minority religion in their country. Only thing is - they fool only themselves, not people in the west.
And India is a less influential country in South Asia than it would be based on population and democracy and economic progress than it would be if you people were more large-hearted and did not feel the need to insult other communities. Now India is just a part of the problem at worst, and an irrelevancy at best. Rather than a part of the solution as it could be to neighboring countries like Pakistan.

Hamidm apparently has some brain waves malfunctioning due to his cross-bred background...Electric shock therapy daily for a year would jolt those waves back into shape...Higher voltage though is to be recommended in his case....

PM,
you ask, "Is there any evidence at all that Ayesha's emotional or intellectual health was stunted by her marriage at an early age? Is there, in fact, any evidence to the contrary?"
....... what kind of a question is that?.......... do you think any nine year old will not be traumatized by having to submit to a fifty year old? ..... a lot of abused children outwardly appear to be okay, but that does not lessen their suffering ..... like all those choir boys abused by their priests, the children might be able to bury their horrible memories for a while, but the pain lingers just below the surface .........
....... and even though child marriage was common in that society, i think people have every right to expect better judgement from a prophet .........
..... sorry, but i find any attempt to justify this abomination rather distasteful ..........

hamidm: did christianity become evil when the church payed $600 million or so to victims of pedophiles? and I am talking of something that happened last week, not last millenium.
I shall be back later to see if you have a good answer to that.
