Does Islam, in fact, Encourage Paedophilia?

What is your criterion for Prophet? Can you define what a Prophet is? Why should a prophet be different than any other human being?
This may sound strange to a person of your limited knowledge but what makes any one decide that a prophet should be better or more virtuous than any other human.
Can you define what is "prophet material"?

Here's how circular logic goes -

a) mohammad is the prophet of "allah" - b) therefore he is telling the truth about a winged creature telling him stuff - c) therefore the koran is the word of allah - d) the koran was transmitted to mo - e) this proves that he is the prophet of "allah" - back to a)

I dont know much abt u but I read all the parvas of Mahabharata and all the kaandas of Ramayana (in childhood).

I think Islam encourages a lot of things and paedophilia is one among them. you just have to read the reports of rich and old Arabs flying in to Hyderabad, marry poor young Muslim girls (sometimes more than one at the same time), have some fun and then ditch them later, everything sanctioned by the actions of Mohammad and Quran.

Basically, Mohammad was under some mental disorder and his first wife Fatima instead of treating him encouraged/bankrolled his endeavour as the "prophet". Once she is dead, Mohammad could not get the same support and tried to get the same support through different women and picked young women either thru' friends / relatives / war booty.. It is funny if you read Quran ("supposedly Allah's revelations for manking"), it will have many verses devoted to Mohammad's wives and how they should behave etc.etc..

I am with you in this in general terms. I think the Ancients had a much more natural and healthy attitude towards sexuality. Teenagers all over the world ARE sexually active and to pretend otherwise and put the age of consent arbitrarily at 16 is just senseless.
Now to your question about if puberty can start at 9. It varies from person to person but I'm sure in some cases it does.
Of course, the other possibility that the traditional hadith reports are mistaken is also possible and the marriage could have taken place much later when Bibi Aisha was 16+.

Islamic theology has specific criteria which are necessary for a Prophet to fulfill.

These include being male, sane, intelligent, sinless, truthful, physically free from any defects, beautiful, of noble lineage, infallible and the ability to do miracles amongst others.

Alhamdulillah, our Beloved fulfilled all these criteria --even on the evidence of his bitterest enemies!
