Re: # 72 General is diminished in this affair due to bad advice from Prime Minister. It is not good to attack COAS so nonchalantly. You may not like him but he is pakistan and pakistan is General for western powers. As he himself said himself he is hurt due to imcompetitant Primeminister but he is not out. Where you like or not he will be Next elected president of Pakistan. PPP, MQM are strong supporters of him he cab write his own ticket. You think all and give him chance for few more years and he will make economic miracles and general will be locomotive for for huge investments from China specially. China and USA both support him they are not fools to bet on weak force. Do not forget that both China and USA have strong support for hos more presidency for stability of pakistan. You may not believe USA but when China govt supports him then we have to support him.

First of all I would like to SALUTEsalute the whole community of lawyers and principled members of judiciary community on their principled stand and for their well deserved victory over corrupt generals and and an amoral rulaing class.

On the other hand those Pakistanis who see some sort of conspiracy in this victory, I should tell them that for once accept the victory of people over oppressors without tainting it with conspiracy theories. This is a victory over vicious oppressing class that would not hesitate masaraing school children just to keep their oppressive rule over innocent people of Pakistan. If amrika is somehow involved in this then so be it, amrika ki maaM ki kuss; this is our victory and it is no time to be skeptical. A victory dance is in order instead.

Those who belong to the mindset of the corrupt ruling class are painting a gloomy picture while in fact this is the greatest thing happened to Pakistan since Pakistan came into being.

I have a dream. I have a dream that one day that day would come when our judiciary will be the judiciary of the people. I think that knowing the enemy's mind would do you a fat lot of good. Whatever support you have with weenies, left wingers, tree huggers and other assorted freaks would become null and void the next time you guys do something "spectacular".

I have been watching both Geo and ARY with interest and that is the impression I get.

Geo is owned by a famous pro army group and the ARY is owned by an Indian Muslim who is high on Islami Nizam in Pakistan.
