Re: # 8
I am not offering you any choices. It is you to decide what choice you are going to go for.
It is very easy for us to blame the politicians for the mess we are in. But infact it is us who are the major culprits in this.
We rejoice when ever army intervenes to take over the government. And what ever little chance we are given to elect our rules we always vote for the same guyz(families) again and again)
Common misconception prevailing in Pakistan is, Jageerdars, Feudal Lords etc, are voted in from the rural areas of Pakistan where the majority of voters are illeterate, is that so. No sir, even in the urban areas the same kind of people are elected. So is the educated class any different than the uneducated one. We believe we possess the the acumen and education to figure out who is best for pakistan and yet we do the same mistakes as our unfortunate brothers.
These politicians in the parliament are there because we elect them not because they are imposed on us. We can blame other countries for their muddling in our politics, but come election time we are the one who choose the elected representatives.
I am no different that any other. As in 2002 I wanted to vote for Imran Khan Party, but ended up voting for PML(N), just because I thought his candidate had a better chance of winning. I wanted to vote for a Winning Party not one in which I believed in, Why? I didnt wanted to waste my vote by voting for a loosing cause. Isnt this a common problem among us, we only want to vote for someone who we think can win rather than following our conscience.
That is what i am requesting in this article. Vote according to your conscience. If we keep on electing the same persons again and again it is us to blame not the politicians. Our vote is important. Evey constituency has atleast 6-7 candidates contesting the election, there should be 1 or 2 which you think can become the new leaders of Pakistan and might be different than the current ones. By not giving them the chance they seek, we end up being part of the problem not the solution.
If you are fed up with the current Politicians it is your responsibility to vote for a change regardless of the outcome. If we all decide simultaneously that we want fresh air in the parliament then we all have to collectively work on it i.e vote for new people and new parties rather than the current power brokers. Only in this way our system can be overhauled
In nutshell if you want to vote for Imran Khan(PTI), MMA, Musharraf(Q League + PPP), Benazir Bhutto(PPP), MQM, independent or any other party candidate, your choice should be based on who you fathom is best of Pakistan not on his chances of winning the constituency

Hey, you guys first distibute ladoos when a civilian government is screw$d because you love dictators who are Islamic nizam-e-mustafa.
After all democracy is an unIslamic concept? No?
Now you do not want a woman to be your "nizami" because Islam cannot let women be the head of a state??
