Shah2 is right. Consider why Betamax, a vastly superior technology, could not dislodge VHS.

... as well as a sucker to fall for this slick marketing. It largely revolves around finding a bigger fool. A bulk of technology is merely an enabler along these lines ...
Such is my somewhat cynical opinion ...

No doubt it does that. But it needs technology's helping hand to package the dirt as gold.

I say that marketing is the weapon of mass empowerment.
Only so long as you have a remotely marketable good. Even then, without a certain amount of technology, or tech know-how, it's near impossible to do the marketing thingie well (or sell the otherwise unsellable.)

Nice article. Technology is the way to go. A failed nation and loser society like Pakistan's need to adopt modern education and technology in order to survive gracefully in the 21st century. Modern education should be the top most priority of every 3rd world country otherwise they will be run over by the developed countries.

It appears that people from Paktoon, at least those having a name that suggest that they could be from the NWFP are having a field day on Chowk. We had an article to the unborn son, thanks to ultrasonic technology, by the paktoon Khan. May be being impressed by the technology, now paktoon Khan si writing about technology itself.
Give us a break. This should be addressed to the un-born, it does not make any sense, and for the un-born it makes no difference.

#2 Shah:
I think the point the author is trying to make is that Work has become a measure of a man's worth, regardless of opportunity, and that we have a system now that rewards work regardless of its impact on long-term economic, environmental and social desireability.
Which is not a good thing, no?

"WWW principle means that the worth of any person is measured solely by his work and unless work is considered as worship by the person it has no worth."
Eurika ...it took you so much to discover that... unless you are rajA or nawab every body has to work these days specially now that work is considered dignified

Author,
Technology is the weapon of mass empowerment
I would like to dispute this contention. I say that marketing is the weapon of mass empowerment.
Now please give me arguments against the above statement.
