Resolution Against Dalit killings in Khairlanji
On 29th September 2006 upper caste forces with a feudal outlook brutally killed four members of a Dalit family in Khairlanjhi village (Mohadi Taluka, Bhandara district) in Maharashtra. Bhaiyala Bhotmange is the sole survivor in this family. The family tilled their own land for subsistence. His wife Surekha, daughter Prujanta, sons Roshan and Sudhir were beaten to death. Surekha and Priyanka were stripped, gang raped and paraded before the village and their private parts injured. The atrocities are a shame for humanity. The local BJP and NCP politicians are involved and helped them in suppressing the entire incident by using the police, administration and hospital officials.
That is why the Dalit masses all over the state came out on the streets spontaneously against these cruel killings and militantly protested. The desecration of the Ambedkar statue in Kanpur enflamed the masses even more and a series of bandhs were called and even two trains set on fire. The Congress and NCP led Maharashtra government, instead of acting against the culprits and giving justice to Bhotmanges’, launched police repression against the agitators. They used Lathi charge, curfews, firings and widespread arrests to crush the masses. Four Dalits died in these firings.
They exaggerated and propagated that Naxalites are involved in the agitation only in order to justify their repression. But the Dalit masses knew that Maoists have always stood with the oppressed. The masses took inspiration from this and intensified their agitation. The parliamentary Dalit politicians are using this mass agitation to bargain with the ruling parties. The anti-Dalit orientation of the Maharashtra Government stands completely exposed. Maharashtra government is a casteist fascist government of upper castes which seeks to maintain the feudal base so that imperialist exploitation can intensify.
The Unity Congress - 9th Congress of CPI (Maoist) strongly condemns the Khairlanjhi killings and stands firmly with the struggling Dalit masses. We uphold the struggle of Dalits for dignity and equality and call upon PLGA and masses to counter this killing. This Congress resolves to continuously struggle against Brahminical, casteist oppression and all forms of discrimination and untouchability. Dalits cannot gain liberation without armed struggle against the feudal order. Hence this Congress pledges to organuse mobilise Dalits for caste eradication as an integral part of New Democratic Revolution.
This Congress calls upon peasants to demand that all debts of peasantry be waived, agricultural subsidies be restored, investments in irrigation and other agricultural needs be increased, proper prices for agricultural products and ban on MNCs like Monsanto and their GM Seeds, and opposes the policies of liberalisation, privatisation and globalisation.
Only New Democratic Revolution will solve the problems of the peasantry. While struggling on immediate demands we pledge to organise the vast masses of the peasantry to intensify the armed struggle to overthrow this semi-colonial, semi-feudal system.

Khairlanji Murders
A "Reign of Terror" in Rajasthan
by a special correspondent of The Hindu
JAIPUR: A Dalit man was allegedly murdered near Bilia village in Bhilwara district of Rajasthan this past week on his wife’s refusal to withdraw a rape case against a person belonging to the dominant Gujjar caste. With the prime accused now absconding, Dalits in the region claim that Gujjars are threatening them with dire consequences.
A fact-finding team of the National Campaign for Dalit Human Rights (NCDHR), which visited Bilia earlier this week, found that the brutal murder of Banna Bairwa was the direct outcome of his struggle to get justice for his wife, while police were trying to hush up the rape case and shield the accused, Bhanwarlal Gujjar.
Bhanwarlal, accompanied by two other persons, allegedly followed Banna Bairwa, who was going from Bilia to Sadas village along with two of his friends on a motorcycle on July 6. Bhanwarlal allegedly fired at Banna Bairwa from point blank range, killing him on the spot. Dwarka Raigar, accompanying Banna Bairwa, was seriously injured in the incident.
Pressure on police
NCDHR State monitoring secretary Suman Dewathia alleged here on Wednesday that Gujjars had unleashed a reign of terror in the region and were pressuring police not to arrest the accused, who has since absconded. Police have taken no action to protect the victim’s family and have not even supplied them with a copy of the first information report.
The 12-member fact-finding team, after examining medical reports and documents and interacting with the Dalit community, victim’s family members, eyewitnesses and those defending the accused, reached the conclusion that Banna Bairwa was killed because he and his wife were demanding stringent action against Bhanwarlal on the rape complaint they had lodged against him in Phulia Kalan police station a few months ago.
A delegation of NCDHR, Centre for Dalit Rights (CDR) and Dalit Adivasi Adhikar Abhiyan met the Bhilwara Collector, Hemant Gera, and Superintendent of Police, Mohan Singh, demanding immediate arrest of Bhanwarlal and his accomplices and probe the case in an impartial manner “without succumbing to political pressure”.
CDR Director Satish Kumar regretted that no senior official had visited the village since the murder took place, nor was any action taken to provide security to the victim’s family. “The family of the deceased is entitled to get an immediate financial assistance of Rs.1.5 lakh under Rule 12(4) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989,” he said.

And Pakistan isnt exactly Cuba either.
that's right...Cuba isn't the fountainhead of islamic terrorism
cubans get instant green cards when they land on US shore...pakis get instant "special scrutiny" when they land at US airports...

Mian HP,
I understand that you NEED to refocus this discussion on GWB, since Pakistan's own record is so abysmal. :(
But why do you think that a country of hundreds of miliions is unable to produce even ONE leader with even the least bit of integrity?!
Not even ONE kambakhat leader?!! :(
Do you think it is the Shariah slowly working its effect through what used to be the "mind" of the people?
Or is Pakistan simply incapable of producing leaders with a vision?!

When HP defends the plight of Hindus in Sindh, he may be having Hindus of Karachi in mind (but not of rural Sindh).
Urban Hindus in Pak wud be having it normal in their day to day lives. Most of the blashphemy cases & forced marriages came from rural areas.

With these beasts we are wasting time in negotiating. Musharraf must be removed and enough nuclear weapons must be built to wipe this cruel and primitive cult of Hinduism of this planet. Many more muslims will survive to carry on the name of islam even if pakistan sacrifices itself.
Best comment so far. So you think it is ok for Pakistan to literally become the suicide bomber that takes down India and its idolators for the glory of Islam and Muslims.. :-)
There needs to be some research done on how constant brainwashing from childhood impacts the brain of a person.

First and foremost :
Happy Pakistan Formation Day to all Pakistanis.
I shall add some points to this topic.
I happened to meet a couple of Hindu Bangladeshis. One is from Dhaka and other guy is from rural Sylhet.
When questioned abt their opinion of persecuation the Dhaka guy stared at me denoting his amazement at such question. However the rural guy gave a different view of persecution.
'See, we are surrounded by 50 Muslim houses. They (Muslims) always say that these ppl (one Hindu family) wud go to India anyway & they talk abt taking our land and house.'
'It's not a good experience to be surrounded by Muslims in a remote village.'

I understand where you are comming from mate - but come on don't go on to the same level at them.
It is really amusing to such self-righteousness coming from folks who massacred 3 million Bengalis not too long ago. Apparently, Pakis suffer from selective amnesia.
