muslims take their faith very seriously and follow it to the letter and spirit... no other group of people follow their faith that seriously...

So if muslims are behaving badly - then may be there is something wrong with the faith they are so ardently following... right?... the bad-behaving muslims are almost always very religious and have vast knowledge of koran and hadith and whatever and always pull out verses to prove that they are working exactly as prescribed in the book...

"However, not a single one of you came out against Hussain when he insulted Hindus and their idols. "

Muslims should have
but neither Hindus came against TN about doing the same thing to minority as Hussain did to majority

"Correctly or not, we would definitely question the car model now. Using the same analogy if a few Muslims were rotten then I would not blame Islam ...."

The key word you have said 'correctly or not ' one can blame the driver or drivers and not the model..more than 60K American die in Auto accedents each year not due to model of car but due bad drivers....here the anology is again that the car ( model of Islam )is not bad but the drivers (muslims)with there secterian allegience more than quran and its correct interpretaion are Bad Drivers...You masy have not heard of Ijtedad qwhich exactly is contemporasy interpretatio of Quran which byits SILENCE in many areas does not codone violence or suicide

Aijaz Dude, I don't give a rat's ass if Muslims get their entertainment and extracurricular activities by fighting and killing each other. My problem is when your "peaceful activities" of the "religion of peace" target non-Muslims. That's what I have a problem with.

You mention Mo Fo Hussain's treatment by Hindus. As the name implies Hussain is a Muslim. All the people who are supposedly involved in "insulting" and "desecrating" Islam i.e. Rushdie with Satanic Verses, Taslima Nasreen, Jerry Falwell's remark on Mohammed, Danish cartoons, Miss Universe in Nigeria incident and riots, no Hindu or Buddhist was involved in these. Yet, Muslims developed a big irritation in their ass (gaand me khujli) and started riots in India i.e. Mumbai over Satanic Verses, Solapur for Falwell's remarks. However, not a single one of you came out against Hussain when he insulted Hindus and their idols. Not a single one of you uttered a word when the Talibans blew up the Bamiyan statues.

True to your Halal meat you have to spit some venom against the Jews. How has the Jews hurt India? Do you see Jewish terrorists coming and blowing up your people even though many of you Muslims want to go to Israel and blow them up.

Finally, a piece of advice whether you chose to heed it or not. Actually two. Supposing if a couple of people died on the road each year using a car model X. Then we would not question the car but the driver's capabilities. However, assume that hundreds of thousands died each year when driving the same model X. Correctly or not, we would definitely question the car model now. Using the same analogy if a few Muslims were rotten then I would not blame Islam or Quran. However, if a sizeable section of the Islamic world is deep sh!t today (poverty, illiteracy, dictatorship, fundamentalism) then I would definitely hold Islam accountable. More so than Hinduism or Judaism or any other religion because Muslims more than other religions love to wear their religion on their sleeve.

The second piece of advice is that what was very good some years ago need not be relevant today. The steam locomotive was a great thing during the 19th century and fastened the Industrial Revolution and helped the North win the US Civil War. However, if any train company were to use the steam locomotives today it would be a polluter running an inefficient model. Canons were great war tools during the Middle Ages but are redundant today. Same way teachings and beliefs that might have been an excellent thing for 7th century Arabia need not be relevant for the 21st century world.

I watched the progrmme "God's warriors" with my wife last night on CNN with morbid fascination. To think that these people - the subscribers to this faith - are amongst us! It was chilling. And their numbers are rising. 10% of Netherlands is Muslim - immigrants. And rapidly rising. 10% of France in Muslim - immigrants. 1% of the USA is Muslim.

It is amazing to see the amount of hatred these people have for the culture that was generous enough to allow them in. I see demands for dividing the country in France and Netherlands in the future.

The future will be bloody. I hope humanity prevails in this tussle. Otherwise god help us.

Think of similar incidents of this nature — an assault on a filmmaker (the attack on Deepa Mehta, the recent disruption of a screening of Anand Patwardhan’s War and Peace) And incidents of disrupting T.V. stations like Star after inter religous marriage or certain articles in Outlook,M.F. Hussain ,Gajamini ,And others
it can also be said Hinduism is Good ..it is some Hindus who are bad

I think true followers of both religion are embaressed by such incidents

Regarding your surprise that it happened in ...Hyderabad is being parochial .After all which indian muslim or hindu should be proud of Moudoodi and his brand of Islam ....Yes you are right muslims are there ownen emies b/c look at them and there islam ..Agha Khan the supporterof Partition has islam of his own so does Jinnah who was Khoja and not limited to that there are exclusivity within islam of Bohra, qadiani and trying to be the brahmin upper caste among muslims....with such bigottery i dont want to be part of even your brand of Islam

"Islam is good muslims are bad."

This is the root cause of problem.

Actually, the converse is true-

"Islam is bad muslims are good"

This is because muslims can be reformed- but Islam of Hadiths and a blood thirsty deity can never be!!!

Funny how on the one hand, the author says:

"I am not familiar with her work. And I don’t care for what she stands for."

and then he goes on to say:

"Besides, this episode has come as a Godsend to a mediocre writer, loathed by her own people. Taslima Nasreen couldn’t have found better promoters of her sagging career."

Here goes another article, Islam is good muslims are bad.

Hallo, has there been any revision to islam to make it modern, is it still necessary to cut of the hands and public execution.

Can there be selective emphasis and implementation of the book. Can any muslim concert to another religion in pakistan.

Well well, read the book before repeating the slogan, muslims are bad.
