The Muslim Brotherhood – A Force Not to be Underestimated

this whole idea of MB has to be seen in the light of hatred towards idolators like me.
I can imagine the un sheathed swords of muslims from Saudi to Bangladesh running amok in hunt for my head.
MB is all about hatred towards idolators and kafirs.
MB is about universal submission towards the idea of an imaginary blood thirsty moon deity.

The fundamental problem is with the notion of muslim world, there is no such oximoron and is not likely as the years go by. The religions is not a binding force, ask the bangladeshis.

If there is no muslim world, then there can be no muslim brotherhood, except some form of AQ, or other versions of it.

Further is teh MB, shia or sunni???

Without reading your lengthy article I would say:
1. MB and Jamiat e Islami are the spent catridges of imperialism. These organizations are waiting out Taliban and Al Qaeda whom they consider 'midevil' and presenters of wrong picture of Islam. That is why JI sold over 600 AQ and Talibans to CIA. JI still is an armed thuggish wing of Pak Army despite all these AQ attacks on ISI and SSG. If American/west leave them today AQ and JI will fight each other. They can not be spearated from state fascist rulers.
2. Like mutating resistant bacteria, AQ will become much stronger to confront this Bushurge', as they did in two years after fall of Saddam in Iraq. When US leaves, AQ will be a formidable terror force to confront in the area.
3. Keep in mind AQ is not interested in government as they will be bombed to stoneage even they try to govern one village for one day. They pray day and night for US to stay in Iraq so they can fight. They tactically lowered their attacks in Iraq in recent months.
4. The best bet for MB and JI is to disband their parties, tender an apology for working for imperialism. They were trained to counter communist ideology that is no more an issue for the USA. They have no political future in world except to play as decoy for 'anybody'.
5. If MB and JI disappear from political scence then AQ and Taliban like forces will melt down in coming years.

an excellent article.i have a few issues of a theological nature with the MB but overall IF there ever are fair elections in any of the middle east countries you mention islamic parties will win with a landslide. the americans know that and they also know that any such govt will be much less likly to be pro-american than the current puppets who do not care about their countries as long as they and their families are in power and wealth. it is therefore not in the US interest to have democracy in the ME and they know it, all the neocons pro-democracy bullshit notwithstanding.

the problem is that people will only be oppressed for so long. eventually the population will rise up and then you'll have real problems...

i think many--most practising or pious or strong believers--throughout the muslim world would welcome the remergence of a pan-islamic caliphate EVEN THOUGH MOST DO NOT SUPPORT AL-QAEDA. i do not support al-qaeda at all, i think they are a disgrace but i think the idea of a resurgent caliphate uniting the muslims into one political bloc would be wonderful. not that i see it happening any time soon but...

Makes interesting reading. The Muslim countries are so disparate otherwise, rich Arabs vis-vis poor Muslims of Indian subcontinent, civilised Iranians vis-a-vis barbaric Somalis, forward looking Turks vis-a-vis retrograde Talibs, educated and sophisticated Bosnians vis-a-vis madrassa-loving Pakistanis, that it is really difficult to visualise the whole Muslim population of the world rising together or rising to help other Muslims. The grand alliance of the Arabs against Israel has petered out leaving the Palestinians to fend for themselves. Closer home, no Muslim country came ahead to help Pakistan even as it was being split vertically in 1971.
Their conflicts with nonmuslims are also
dictated geopolitically. Muslims of Pakistan hate Hindus because their fight with India whereas no Arab, African or South East Asian muslims have a problem with India or Hindus for that matter.
With such diverse levels of prosperity, education, human development one wonders any brotherhood, Muslim or otherwise can do anything noteworthy.
Yes, the MB definitely will succeed in galvanising the members of extremist inclinations to fight in the jehad which, alas, is doomed to fail because it is so retrograde and will not generate interest in the population at large.
