There is no hypocrisy in what Wali sahib is saying. He believes that Islam is the ONLY true faith and the other religions are frauds to varying extent. When a non-Muslim converts to Islam he is moving from drakness to light, when a Muslim goes the other way he is moving towards darkness. Hence the diff treatment.

A number of Hindus who became Sikhs for protecting their Dharma actually returned back to Hindu Sanatan Dharma.
That is why there are different Deras with synchretic faiths that allow idolator hindus .
Today, during Shraddh ceremony of my fore fathers a number of Sikhs entered the temple and prayed before the PAncha- Deva and the Shiva Family of idols.
A number of Sikkhs go and visit Mata Vaisho Devi.
There are even cassettes of sikh singers singing publically Bhetes of Mata.
