No, it is about a solitary person who undergoes an internal change. It can be anyone, I did not have anybody particular in mind.

My stories mostly revolve around the central character and his/her thoughts. This is known as "interior monologue" in literature. The inner feelings of the protagonist are the major part of the story.

When you look too hard at something you can never tell it changed.

Thank you for liking it. I have almost finished writing the sequel to this story and it is coming out sometime later.

Sana:
It has a "Silence of the lambs" quality to it. I agree with the premise - there may be some benefit to introversion in the Buddhist sense, but you only start living when you share your joys and sorrows.

Re: # 11
It is true that introversion may have some benefit in meditation and that whatever may be, man cannot live without communicating with his fellow beings. That is the point of the story; the introvert begins to realise this reality or else he knew he would be suffering in silence and indifference to the world. Eventually, this would have resulted in an emotional breakdown but the human instinct of his being 'social' wins over and saves him from becoming a cold-blooded reptile.

I haven't seen or read 'Silence of the Lambs' so I cannot say anything on that but this goes out to all - Keep the critique going! It might somehow improve my writing skills.

Though I refrain, I felt compelled to comment.
A good story of a person who lives in a bubble. I would not call it a cacoon as you did because it exists in the perception.
Most of us get trapped in this bubble at various stages of our lives. Many a time, as introverts we come to realise later how right we were; only if we had spoken, but its never late.
However, there remain some who break out of this bubble in a reactive way. The case of the Korean University student going on rampage in USA is a case in point.
As an aside, it is not possible for Papa's Darling (14) to write such a piece. It needs some knowledge of literature and pschology.

Re: # 14 Okay I am trying to improve over here but it was only my first story although some may call it a disaster. What a coincidence though - while i was writing this I was thinking about that very incident in USA and it drove me to write.
