"The odd and shocking thing is, that in "Islamic Republic of Pakistan", people are doing the same thing almost 1400 years after the pre-islamic days."
What nonsense!! Muslims need to get over their 'idol-phobia' and the kafir-phobia. There is nothing wrong in using idols to worship Gods.
Also, this thing about 'idols' is about icons/symbols of human endeavour like the Prophet who is also an icon/idol for the sunnis (although a perverse icon like the Hitler was for Nazis).

Harishbhai,
(This guy must have been smoking something when he wrote this. If AQ Khan, who stole centrifuge designs can be considered a hero while Amanat who wowed a country of one billion with his singing talent cannot, then there is something seriously wrong with such Mr. Majeed.)
That's why these people consider you (and many of us other chowkies) as kanjaroooons!!!
Regards

But why on earth would you want Dr. A.Q. Khan, the metallurgist-turned-nuclear wizard to be an idol for Pakistanis, notwithstanding the fact that he remains a popular "national" hero for the gullible and nuclear-ignorant masses in Pakistan?

Alas!!! our beloved Pakistan is dying in front of our eyes and last drops of blood are being sucked from its veins ..majority of the crowd is busy looting it and very few are sincere to it...it seems that this crowd is sick and their brains have been poisoned and they have been made hypocrits...they don't do what they preach and ugly egos will further destroy its innocent face, its assets, its few leftover trees, few green patches, few public service places for their selfish, greedy and never ending hungers..this crowd suffer from low self esteem and they have lost concept of honour and dignified survival among league of nations....deceivers cannot be sincere with any thing sublime, dignified and truthful on this earth..
