Urstruly...that's an interesting viewpoint. You're saying that a man ought to be excused for indescretion simply because he 'needs a challenge' and a 'smart woman' should be able to control/manipulate his weaknesses?

Well... fiction is usually judged subjectively, anyway.

I think women are universally masochists and this theme is so typical across the board. A man is a conquerer by nature, he needs challenged everyday. Smart women control them by constantly challenging them.
