there is a difference between greed and need
greed makes you write jingles while talking against corporate “culture”...

I hate corporate and I think the best way to demolish corporate sector is to write jingles for them….. After all they are so terrible that people stop buying the product after they see them.. Journalism should not be free because it is not airing my views…. Addressing a press conference here on Friday, he said any political party that takes part in the coming elections would actually betray the entire nation.

Sheikh Rashid is the 'proverbial' prostitute to the the town mayor, nothing else.

Face it NFP, you were as shocked as everyone else when the 'de-politicized burgers' of LUMS of all places stood up against the General.

We get it that you have to be funny, coz that's what you do best. But mocking away the burgeoning student movement was uncalled for. And don't forget the effect of these protests from LUMS, FAST, etc. Images of western-looking boys and girls facing up to the might of the baton-weilding police, were beamed across the world to Mushy's power base AKA US. It is these small things that slowly chip away at the General's thin veneer.

True, it's just a few hundred people, but u have to applaud their nerves. As the nation sleeps through the defining moments of our destiny, students in a handful of universities are getting arrested, going on hunger strikes, getting beaten up in rallies, all the time asking nothing in return. If that is not a noble concept, what is. Pray tell me, NFP? And don't scoff this time

adnan, dude, I have been part of LUMS protests as well [LUMPS, as NFP calls it :)], and all I saw were students who had no idea what they were shouting about and were there to have "fun". The only worthwhile thing that has come out of this so-called student protest is the way the students protested against the Jamiat at Punjab University, otherwise, the movement has been a let down. Already many students seem to have given up and walked back.

After reading part of this third rate plagirized (from another chowk author who wrote about a couple of Marxists) BS, I think Paracha should hang up his coat and retire. Enough said.........
