um... i don't quite agree with you. its true that the team can improve and obviously they have to if they have any hope of winning the world cup...
i mean, they are better than what we used to have as a team but inzy's absence does leave a gaping hole but if you look at the new people we have currently, they're doing pretty well. there is still hope in this world!

I think it is quiet clear that PCB should think beyond Mailk. If Younis is not interested, why not Muhammad Yusuf as a test captain? Only risk being he might make fajr prayers compulsary and that might not be to everyone's liking.

err...no...India is a better team and the better team won...Pakistan have some great talent in Umar Gul, Asif and Yasir Hameed...Hamid especially needs to be nurtured...the slo mo replays of the bowling actions were quite interesting...if that bent arm of Akhtar isn't chucking, I don't know what is...Gul has proved in the ODIs that you can be as fast as Akhtar without cheating...as for the captaincy, I feel that the PCB needs to convince Younis with whatever assurances he needs, to take up the captaincy...I was not impressed with Malik in the ODIs or Tests...there is a look of helplessness about Malik and that cannot be inspiring to his mates...heres to hoping for a good series and hopefully a 3-0 result ;)...Cheers!

there should be separation of captaincy in 1-dayers and tests. Malik is quite uninspiring in tests, doesnt have the confidence to bowl himself and cant seem to be able to communicate with the star players (shoaib, yousuf and younus). Individually the team is quite decent but the captain and wicketkeeper are substandard. Make Younus the captain and replace the wk. I thought that pakistan played well in parts but didnt have the cohesion and planning to play to win.

No!! The worse is yet come by because there is ample room for more.

Despite, Kamran Akmal's recent dull performances, he has managed to persist in Punjab 11 on the account that he is from Lahore.

Sarfaraz Nawaz should have played from Lahore to get in the team.

Misbahul-Haq and Sohail Tanvir are the new emerging talents and getting better from experience.
