Zeemax, Don't poke your nose into something you don't know anything about!

#143 ... and yes HP, all six well-trained and heavily-armed guards with automatic weapons in the back of the double-cabin were shot through their heads without a chance for them to even straighten their guns.
okay, I'll stay up if there's anymore more of this kinda stuff coming... :-)
btw, Was said SHO found strangled in station? I thought he'd been shot dead at home at night?

Again Zeemax, That was a decade ago and the those were not bodyguards most of them were his friends and back then people were not used to having armed contingents in the car. Only Jatoi had gun on him rest of them were unarmed.
Anyway, I can see that you don't know much about it just relying on some news reports etc.

#140 Posted by PM,
I dunno if it's normal. However the grave has been dug next to ZAB and Larkana is under control of rangers.

HP ... sheesh .. Murtaza was in the front cabin, his friends in the rear cabin, and the six guards on benches in the open back. Ever seen a double-cabin pickup Sir?

waisey Zee, I remember hearing from ear-witnesses that there was a prolonged gunbattle (at least 10 mins), that presumably ended when they got Murtaza. That doesn't fit nicely into your sniper-theory, does it?

"Ever seen a double-cabin pickup Sir?"
Sheesh! I don't live in Pakistan that I will be impressed with this type of stupid comments.

They will try to bury her soon. Longer they keep her body more are the chances of peole getting more angry. Sooner they bury her better are there chances to cool it down & back to normal AGAIN.
It is very evident now that the Army/Intelegence appartus have taken this action with help fron their mullah jihadi cohorts.
This is a sad day for Pakistan. I remember 2 days before 9/11 when they killed the Northern Alliance leader. I have the same gut feeling that something even worst is coming. I hope nothing worst come but its my feeling.
Let's all pray for peace.

#146 Posted by PM,
PM, that SHO was found 'strangled', not 'shot', while sleeping outside in the courtyard of the Police Lines, with several other policemen sleeping on cots nearby who didn't hear a peep.
Check the archives.

#152 Posted by slodhi,
That's an interesting comment. If you start from March 9, each event after that has been progressively worse. I share your foreboding.
But I'm on record as repeatedly saying, and being condemned for it, that after Operation Silence Pakistan will turn into Iraq.

Zeemax you seem to have foot in the mouth disease taken over you at this time.
Why Do I have to live in Karachi to know these things? I know Karachi many many time better than you do. That area was my neighborhood until I left for the US. Besides what I know is from some reliable witnesses. unlike you who has no clue as to what took place there.

ok Zee, here goes: http://home.pacific.net.sg/~makhdoom/murtaza.html
It seems both the police version and the M. Bhutto version of the affair agree there was a prolonged gunfight. This is consistent with what my sis, who lives in the area, reported.
Additionally, several policemen also lost their lives in the battle.
