Re: # 63 no he was realeased and again put under arrest.
All establishment wants that. He is for restoring judges that can kill Zardari and president and former PM mr. Aziz. and BB's clean washed imaged made will be soilded by 1.5 billion accounting problem. PPP and president and all establishment and even BB hated this man . HIs problem is he does not want to flow with current but go against current and to source of problem and make harams accountable. Too much troublesome and can not be bought. BB in final days was enraged she is/was too shrewd to know without NRO there will be nothing as you loose reputation and money and every thing is lost.
Musharaff has termed him as dog it tells all.

#65 Posted by ahmedmadani,
Madani Saheb, Has musharraf renewed the NRO or not yet? It was going to expire I think on 3 Feb. He was keeping it hanging to blackmail Zardari.

Hamid Gul Sued her?
Where? She is still in Pakistan and if there is a case she must be fighting it.
"Retirement benefits come from the Federal budget. Pakistan's don't."
What is this argmuent every fking thing is owned by the army. It is just an accounting entry.
Madani Sahib, Aap sumjhdar aadmi hain or main aap say debate nahin karonga. However, Any army that breaks every law of the country is corrupt there is no if and buts abt it.
She did not disclose any state secrets. The army would not have let her sit out of the jail, if she had done that.
These are documented facts. If you are interested I can show you army Generals owned property throughout Sindh.
Unfortunately, we have an army which is more a traitor to the country than the defender. The more you learn abt this army the better it would be for you to find out who is to be blamed for problems in Pakistan.

Portfolio investment down to worst position
IRFAN MALIK
KARACHI - The portfolio investment is continuously coming down to its worst position and stood negative at $ 0.17 million, reflecting the exclusion of foreign investment from the equity market in the wake of increasing political instability and deteriorating law and order situation of the country.
On January 15, 2008 the State Bank of Pakistan has reported that the net flow of the portfolio investment has landed into negative by $0.17 million dollar, depicting decline of $0.18 million dollar as compared to $0.35 million dollar recorded on January 10, 2008.
A major outflow of portfolio investment had been recorded from the United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong, B.V Island and Australia.
All aforesaid countries have ejected $ 358.53 million dollars worth investment from the stock during July 07 to Jan 15, 2008.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) data, the UK investors withdrew $202.83 million, Singapore$39 million, Hong Kong $22.7 million, B.V Island $46.2 million and Australia $47.8 during the above mentioned period. The stock market reflects net outflow of $ $2.548 billion dollar and inflow of $2.530 billion dollar foreign investments during the above said period.
“Apparently hedges funds performed not well in equities during December07 and current month of 2008, while moderate decline was witnessed in hedge funds in January resulted in massive outflow of foreign investment,” senior researcher Atif Malik at JS Global said.

HP Sain, have you actually read the book or just read reviews?
#71 Posted by zeemax on February 2, 2008 3:24:35 pm
HP,

No it is not. Damn. You just don't know facts. When Fauji Cement got in serious trouble they went to IFC (International Finance Corporation, the private-sector arm of World Bank) to rescue them, not to the Pakistan Government.

But really HP Sain ... enjoyed that exchange of yours with Shisha-Apa on UP. You really riled her up. LoL.

'When Fauji Cement got in serious trouble they went to IFC "
So they got a loan from Wash. And what does that prove?
You think cement is some big business or does that mean something different?

#74 Posted by HP,
HP, I made two points. (1) Fauji Cement got in serious trouble almost to bankruptcy in 2003. If Army owned everything they would NOT have got in trouble; and (2) they went to IFC and not asked loans from Pakistani banks. IFC was glad to do it because IFC invests in sound projects. They are not idiots.

Re: # 66 I do not know situation, its all murkey. You may not like general but he british trained Gurrla leader. He can hang dry Zardari with 1.5 B. General is too smart even for american handlers they do not know how to deal "general". He is street smart person and can be Ghoonda or sofiscated as needed. So my intincts tell he override present problems even after elections. Do not put too much faith on elections its trick in counting and they already run simulations on different outcomes and how to change numbers in counting. Again its all in counting is magic, also even socialist chief K.Marx said is correct "masses are asses". He is shoeb Akhatar of politics can bowl anybody. I need to take tea and biscuits and little music make me feel better not jungli music of hindi movies real with good notes no discodent notes.

First running a cement plant to ground meant bad operations and possibly stealing. Second, why the army was involved in that. and lastly, getting couple of million bucks from the IFC is not a big deal at all. I guess it must be for you but nobody gives it a flyingfk to couple of million bucks in international financing that too from a US supported bank!
