You're right, Simon D'Lima was the founder and principal at St Peters. It was a shoestring opeeration when I joined 6th grade in 1978, but Mr D'Lima was a shrewd businessman and when I left in 1984 it was a slick, well oiled money machine. The quality of education was so-so, but he scared the living crap out of me and transformed me from a slacker who always failed everything but English literature into a nerd who got A's in most things (eccept Urdu).

Glad that I have tweaked your memories which would surely be as nostalgic, if not more, than mine!
I am a 'Patrician' and have better regards for the patently homely characterisation of Karachi's very urbane sea-side 'life-on-the-go' that was inculcated at the schools' which had 'character building' as part of rthe teaching courses!
Wasn't Mr. Simon Dilemma the one who established St Peters? He was our Math teacher at St Pats'

Thanks for bringing back old memories. My high school (St Peters) was in that part of town, and back in the early 80's it was relatively clean and peaceful, and the ocean view from my school was just awesome. I guess things must be pretty bad now, oh well nothing lasts forever.
