BBC is reporting Taliban have captured the Kohat tunnel and all areas beyond that are in control of Taliban. I spoke to a Khattak friend in Peshawar and he almost cried and said if Musharraf goes this will stop. Just answer these questions, thanks.

You need to pass thru the Dara Adam Khel to go Kohat from Peshawar by road. So if the fighting is going on there that road must be blocked. The tunnel is partially in the azad Ilaqa.

The Pak admin never controlled the area so saying that the Taliban control it now is not factual. However, I just don't see taliban maintaining control for long.

Really this is too close to comfort as Peshawar has almost spread to the Dara and the negligence of the Pak army and and in some instances, connivance is to be blamed for situation getting out of hand and this close to the settled areas.
