Bhati Sahib:
Don’t be so shy in uttering what is in your mind . . . offcourse it is the rise of mediocrity to power in PPP that was the aim of bibi’s murderers. If there is any body half as shrewd a politician as bibi, there would be more than one falls on that terrible evening.
Surely the mediocres of establishment will win as they are less prone to myopia. In a sense Bibis her self is the poor victim of this myopia since in all of her 20 plus years of political career she never made a serious attempt to curtail the power of establishment, God forbid if her political and family heirs follow the same path.
You are dead right about Scotland Yard report but we Pakistanis . . .

Her death will definately be in vain, as all things indicate because of incompetency of PPP.

Yes you are right. But how to make them behave democratically? With the exception of one or two, all parties were born out of the loins of the establishment.

In order to discuss the "Establishment" we have to know where and what Establishment is. Establishment comprises of beurocrats, army, mullahs feudal, mullahs, some dirty political leaders etc..
The reason Establishment wins everytime in Pakistan is that the top leaders of our political parties are feudal, corrupt and dictators. They dont let democracy prosper within the party, making their party a one man show. If these parties dont even encourage the institutionalization in their parties, how come they would help in creating and maintaining the institutions in Pakistan.
The only solution is that these political parties behave democratically, so that even a middle class person can come forward and would be able to become the leader, top leader of their party and then may be eventually the PM of Pakistan. Only then, they will get the overwhelming support from the people of Pakistan and Establishment wont dare to come into power.

"Let us see whether PPP brass have the brains to force the government to do the right thing, or the newly appointed chairman of the party has some other priorities, which I doubt he has. Let us see who will win - the mediocrity of establishment or mediocrity of politicians."
But the intelligent supporters of BiBi and triple-P are bus fighting ghosts on another fp-board....where will they find to do this...it is way too difficult for them.
p.s chowkstaff - please go back to the previous version of chowk. this version is so bug ridden it gets annoying sometimes.......

Reaction of PPP came next day of submitting of this peice. Genius at the top of PPP is still sticking to his demand for investigation by UN. So, establishment has won again.
