Re: # 99

Hamidm Sahib:

Zeemax ji, and Anil Mian. Aren't you mixing up your "jis" and "mians".

Republican attack machine can attack and polarize voters Obama more easily. Karl Rove & Co will bring out with some winning strategy to combine "it's economy stupid" with "Obama's change is at wrong time".

No one will question McCain on Iraq. Obama's attacks on McCain might look cheap shots. Democrats probably end up delivering the election to McCain.

Don't you think there is media bias in how woman candidate is presented? When Hillary's eyes well up, that becomes news and she wins.

I would feel bad for Hillary and healthcare. She is the only one who can fix and reform healthcare.

"The Four anticipated scenarios...." at the end of the article came as a comic relief; one cannot help but laugh at the naiivette of the author. Isn't it self evident now that all the so called political parties who are taking part in this farce of election are nothing but last ditch effort of the corrupt, pro-western, east India company ki najaiz aulaad ruling elite, to resucitate a crumbling oppressive system that they have been running for the past 60 years?? Isn't it true that charlatans like NS and his brother cannot even vote and even their names are not on any of the ballot papers and yet they are sepnding their time, money, and effort, towards what end??? Isn't it true that US spokesperson Richard Boucher has openly threatened that US will destroy any civilian government that will try to establish rule of law and order in Pakistan by re-esatblishing the judicial system in Pakistan, thru paki fouj?? So WTF with the scenarios, There is only one scenario....more of the same but several times harsher - the death, the hunger, the oppression, the disease, and the Gestapo raaj.

Casting vote in this election is a crime against people of pakistan. Unfortunately, Pakistan has come to the point of its national life when ghee seedhi ungli se nahiN nikalta. An election under current regime and system is the death warrant for all of us.

Re: # 111

tahmed mian,

..... "then at least stop ridiculing lawyers who form the thin red line that provides the only hope for a peaceful or prosperous Pakistan"

..... look, my dear romantic friend ..... i have spent a lot of time at the pindi kutchery sitting under a tattered canvas sheet, talking to lawyers' sweating in black ties on suits in the middle of summer .......

....... how can you 'respect' these miserable fools sitting on rickety chairs with cane bottoms falling out, balanced precariously over open drains, swatting at flies buzzing over filthy tea cups, eating stale cake rusks and picking their noses as they pore over their grimy files tied together with shoe laces ..... how can you 'respect' these people ? ..... tell me!

Let's say I or GT or somebody else makes a wrong comment on the topic, or a comment that you don't like... so what?

Zee:

"In that case I'll take it :)". Good then let us get back to the discussion:

1. I do not know much about the Pakistani economy.
2. As far as sanctions on "aid" are concerned, I believe that most Pakistanis would not even know and therefore not care. The "influentials" will care a lot, and if they are in power will try to avoid such sanctions period.
3. If the LMP is in power, they will try to tide over more than "aid" sanctions. If the LMP is "honest" then this tiding over may be beneficial for most Pakistanis. If the LMP is "dis-honest" then all Pakistanis, except the LMP elites, will suffer.

#93 Posted by GT,

And that is the person whom people ridiculed for trying to escape in a Burqa.

He was going to meet Ijaz-ul-Haq, and was told to come out in disguise.

But his brother and son and mother died in his place. He will too, but he won't give up.

And yes, the wife, she's around as well.

So the hamidms better look for a retirement place in Colorado rather than in Pakistan.

#120 Posted by GT,

1. I do not know much about the Pakistani economy.

Well you should.

2. As far as sanctions on "aid" are concerned, I believe that most Pakistanis would not even know and therefore not care. The "influentials" will care a lot, and if they are in power will try to avoid such sanctions period.

No they will not try to avoid sanctions because sanctions are chicken shit compared to what Pakistan is all about. Benazir would have, yes, but she's dead. And that's good for Pakistan.

3. If the LMP is in power, they will try to tide over more than "aid" sanctions. If the LMP is "honest" then this tiding over may be beneficial for most Pakistanis. If the LMP is "dis-honest" then all Pakistanis, except the LMP elites, will suffer.

Islamists are honest. They only tell the truth. Have you been following the pakistani Taliban's statements on BBC Radio? They have said they're neutral re pakistan elections. Neither support them nor oppose them. But, there will be no disruptions from their side. That's clear.

There may be disruptions, but to see who does those, you will need to go back to my post where I had identified four distinct categories of militants in Pakistan.

Mohar, the difference between hindoos like you, and GT, and KaalChakra, and Swarrier, and nb is immense.

I'll suffice at that. You try to figure it out.

Re: # 123 zeemax that in impolite circles is called ...being a gaand phattoo. Since I am polite I will simply suggest you are being absolutely disingenuous and devious

Taliban have to be silent, they have to be HMV dummies....and that they are doing very well.

Stop being a propaganda tool yourself, zeemax...never thought you would be the first to fall prey...

Does this Quranic law apply to reverted muslima like Jemima Khan? She has been “going commando” lately in between supporting her ex- Imran Khan’s politics. Anybody has any photos?

Britney Spears No Panties Pose Spreads To Jemima Khan
by Staff
http://www.postchronicle.com/cgi-bin/artman/exec/view.cgi?archive=7&n um=62052

Britney Spears nude no panties trend has made it across the pond. Hugh Grant's socialite girlfriend Jemima Khan has undergone a raunchy make-over, and marked the occasion on Tuesday night by flashing her genitalia on a night out in London.

The Sun has the PG photographs online.

Khan celebrated her 33rd birthday by slipping into a PVC dress to party with Grant at Mayfair's George Club - but was caught wearing no knickers as she left her limo.
She recently confessed her sexy new look is all down to Grant, saying, "I have a very good and attentive stylist. His name is Hugh."

The former wife of Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan used to sport modest outfits. But now she joins a long line of knickerless babes that include Britney Spears, 25, and Lindsay Lohan, 20.

YHL -- Predictions:
PP = 100-135; Q = 65-95; N = 35-70; ANP = 5-20; MQM = 10-25

All the various combinations and permutations that you, and many others, continue to suggest are, at best, the metaphoric equvalent of changing the guest seating by re-arranging the deck chairs on board The Titanic.

The dance party goes on, the orchestra keeps playing, all the first class passangers are feasting in the dinning hall and discussing who will sit in the front row of the new seating arrangement that the captain's staff is busy setting up on the upper deck.

Meanwhile coal face workers in the boiler room helplessly watch the flooding as the lower deck passangers desperately scramble for a breath of fresh air.

The icebergs have already hit and gone.

The Federal state entity called Paksiatn, as it has existed, in its second incarnation, since December 16th, 1971, has its days numbered. In my book, THIS is the verdict of history.

The only way to "save" Pakistan, dear friend, is to radically change it from a strong centralised federation to a loose de-centralised confedration. That will mean giving up a lot of power. Only foreign policy, monetary policy and defense will remain the central functions. All else will need to be given up. What this means is that whole departnmets will need to be abolished completely. Ministries of interior, finance, commerce, health, education, etc., etc., etc., will need to be shut down. Their buildings will have to be vacated and rented out to private use. Their furniture will have to be auctioned off and their personnel sent home with pink slips. THAT is the price that MUST be paid to keep the present borders of the Pakistani nation-state entity where they were demarcated in the west by Sir Mortimer Durant and in the east by Lord Radcliff.

And THAT is something the entrenched Establishment will never do willingly. The result then, inevitably, is a Yougoslavia type break up. No power on Earth can change that, except, of course, God's direct miracle. God, after all, can do whatever He wants; that's why He's God. But experience and observation suggest that He normally does not intervene in the day to day running of the world and simply allows His Natural Laws to take their natural course.

So, if I was a gambling man, I would wager, that He will choose not to intervene in Pakistan and allow His Natural Laws to take their natural course.

But the breakup of this federation is not the end of the world. IF the "principles of Jinnah" (PoJ) as you have often described in detail, are actually used as the basis of a new beginning and a liberated and democratic Republic is formed east of Indus, it would be a price well worth paying.
