pea-brain pandit hate arjun: So it is clueless to talk about Bush and US Senator trying to get on the right side of PPP and PML? Are you ignorant or just your usual dishonest self?
Check where three prominent US Senators (Kerry, Biden, Hagel) have been past few days, and check their statements. Check what Bush had to say about the Pakistan elections while travelling in Africa today. Then come and talk to me about who is clueless.
And you still keep avoiding answering my questions in #146 about the hellfire missiles that you have been babbling about not just today (when your pea-brained is burning with extra spite at things going well in Pakistan), but for the past several years on chowk.

hamidm: while i am flattered by your nominating me to be president, I would never give up my job of ..drum roll..trumpets..Chowk Poster!!
As for mush - actually he is now a useful idiot to Pakistan to the extent of promoting unity among our ever-quarelling politicians. The "goodwill account" his ignoble self has built between PPP and PML is something all Pakistanis are pleased to see.

Out of the darkest depths of despair, hope rises again!
Powered at its root by the eternal fountain – the fountain that never runs dry!
It may remain invisible for a while, it may be suppressed for a while, but it WILL show up sooner or later – and it will exhibit its power – the power of the mass of humanity – like which there is no other power!
And the never drying fountain which never fails to surprise us when all the other springs have long disappeared and the parched land is all that appears to remain! Or so one may think – based on appearances alone!
But appearances are misleading and therefore, when we despair in the deepest of darkness – out comes the light of a dawn most unexpected. And if only the dawn can hold – what a dawn it can be – that new dawn in the making!
The subcontinent has not seen anything like this phenomenon now opening up before our very eyes and now dazzling us even as we shake our heads in disbelief…
For nothing like this has happened here lately!
It has been a long time – it has been just too long!
Not since the last time a dictator was pushed aside from the pinnacle of power… and it WAS a while ago! Many of us are entirely too young and can not recollect an event of this magnitude and importance.
Yet not too long ago, there occurred another event which had a similar power to tell the world in no uncertain terms who the REAL boss is! And an event with the power to put all the pretend bosses in their right places!
We can not recollect an event of this importance – dazzled as we are by the present moment. We can not recollect another like this special moment – not unless we to go back thirty-one full years!
For that was the last time when, not too far away from the current location of interest, an illiterate, a poor and by all accounts a “backward” awaam showed to the world that no matter how illiterate, how poor and how “backward” it be – for sure, dumb it was not!
And it showed that it can indeed distinguish right from wrong, and it retains its share of common-sense – perhaps more than do the holders of those advanced degrees – and the hordes of foreign-trained smart alecs and their masters within and without!
And yes, this body has the guts to make its voice known!
No, Pakistan will not become an Egypt no matter how many dictators it endures! Just like India will not become an Egypt no matter how many atrocities it witnesses!
For when everything is said and done, the simple fact is – we face the same disasters – and sooner or later, we react the same way! A way we can be rightfully proud of!
For when everything is said and done – we are the same people!

#178 no pandit hate. Just rot in your own smoldering and keep blabbering like a hollow drum about about hellfire missiles and jehadis.

bjkumar: welcome back. you are very right - Pakistanis dont tolerate hosni mobarak-wannabes.
And indeed, in having to struggle for freedom from military rule, Pakistanis have not just shown their mettle, they have also learnt some important lessons themselves. Thus: nawaz sharif and zardari are both talking like mature people now. The Chief Justice has taught us, through quiet personal example rather than big words, some important lessons in the importance of Basic Rights and free and fair elections and (perhaps most important) the difference one brave man can make in the fate of nations. These are indeed great days to be a Pakistani!!

There is nothing surprising in the outcome of the Pakistan Elections 2008 in the country as a whole. It reflected to a large extent the hatred the people harboured in their hearts against Mush personally and the 'Taghuti'(Anti-human) system he had imposed upon the civil society of Pakistan. What
however surprises one is that unlike the entire country wherein Mush supporters got more or less beating in the elections, the MQM Matarua factor was not affected at all. It raises very sombre questions about the ethnic exclusivity of Matarua Mohajars of Sind who are bent upon providing support for Mush against the national upsurge for democracy and the rule of law.
Is it that the history of East Pakistan repeating itself?

["should I wear a t-shirt with a PPP/PML flag "]
No, just stick the flagpole in your rear nether orifice. laddu can leverage the other free end, that way the flag pole gets fully utilized. You polyandrous monkies know what I mean. PS. Jumping up and down is optional post insertion!

Miyan,
Can you tell me whether Islam has won in this election or not??
Since the Pakistanis are feeling good about themselves now , isn't the Jazba-e-Jehad going to increase??

hamidm#187: you forgot #5 senate is still the lota senate and will remain so another year. that gives you a fifth straw to clutch to.
you can now step outside and watch the lunar eclipse (taking place right now over the americas). it will no doubt remind you of the eclipse of er..the.."rising sun", but dont feel too bad about that..you will be clutching 5 straws to assure you that is happening..

hamid mian,
arjun is no laddu. But we both share the same concern about ourselves and other Indians being the victims of Jehadic TNT's terror in the future if we do not confront the menace that is lurking in Pakistan.
The menace appears to have camouflaged itself in the current happenings in Pakistan - we all are only concerned about that menace.
You should also worry about that menace which is now clear and evident in the coterie surrounding NS.
We would keep on reminding you about that menace that is just waiting for an opportune moment in all this politicking.

laddu: i agree you are no arjun. you lack the spite, and you are merely stupid (in a good sense, of course) while arjun is stupid and dishonest (as demonstrated by his inability to answer the questions i asked him in #146 about the hellfire missiles he keeps ranting about.
