Re 201- ok, I don't doubt you but there certainly is a non-technical problem that is blocking it on all those other networks across different computers for over two years, according to some readers, I have personally experienced it ever since my return to Pakistan in 2007

I cannot respect the opinion of peons of the Westthat legitimize US overlordship which has been catastrophic to our people. Why shouldn't chowk ban people like you whose contributions to this site in ideas and knowledge have been not even a fraction of mine. Don't hide behind BS.

Where do you suggest Lahore ought to be? Lahore is where it is supposed to be. Come hither and I'll show you a thing or two of Na-Dhi-Ti-Na, or four-to-the-floor if believe in disco.
As for earning US currency the way you suggest, I hope you've tried it successfully; it never works for decent souls.
Counts 16, divisons 4 for PUNJABI goes:
Dha -Dhi -Na Dha | Dha -Dhi -Na Dha | Dha -Ti -Na Ta | Ta -Dhi -Na Dha
Pass me some powder and a hammer please....

Good, cheerlead for each other, peons of the West have to hang together these days because Pakistan is becomming inhospitable to them, as HP said it is now a "different country"

Feroz, it is definitely not a problem at my end, I have not tried it at one computer or one network, for me to conclude how I did. If your ISP uses a Pakistani IP address you wont be able to access it except through cached pages at google using which the copy paste you produced can be reproduced...

Once again tahmed's criticism is devoid of substance and full of fluff. He has not even approached one argument I raise in the article and tried to cover it up by saying that "rickshaw drivers will say the same"- even though sitting in the US he has no clue what those rickshaw drivers are saying, and yes most of them have got a grasp of the game now, the conscious Pakistani public is beginning to understand the shenanigans of the US/Pakistan Army, and when I write using the field of my expertise what they already know, it speaks for my work as a sociologist because I have tapped into the pulse of the people. Regarding using "strong words"- that is just an excuse for those that have been stumped by the arguments, those "strong words" do not form part of my arguments whatsoever and as I said i) they are no worse that what others here use for me, though much milder ii) usually are reserved for those who lie about my posts or justify US barbarism like tahmed whose many quotes I have reproduced to "prove" whatever I say about him, including his "article" in which he was cheerleading for the upcoming US Iraq war at the time while getting misty eyed (like Feroz over Omaha beach) over British colonization of India.
The only reason why these morons are calling for banning me or having my articles censored is because they are dead afraid of my ideas as they have busted the objects of their worship and their mythology-PERIOD
Let Chowk staff ban me, even then you cannot stop the truth from getting out....

"this person should be totally removed from this site"
I also suggest that all those who provoke Muslims by insulting Prophet Muhammad and Islam (it is fashionable these days) be removed from CHOWK for good. Let's see writers and readers, not hackers and browsers here!
If CHOWK does not mend its ways soon (I have requested them several times to do so), it could get blocked like You-Tube was! Just because it has not happened so far is no cause for celebration.
God's eternal wrath on those who promote blasphemies or become silent spectators.
Peace.

bubba #190: Even if it made sense to "permanently ban" someone, it is simply not possible for chowk to do that without totally changing its registration procedures - it doesnt require any brains for anyone to change his nick.
What chowk can and should do, imho, is to refuse to publish any article (no matter how praiseworthy) from someone unless and until he/she is in good standing wrt chowk guidelines.

HP sahib,
[Why can't others do that?] The simple reason being masadi uses too many foul languages on this site, and degrades those of us who disagree with his evaluation and analysis. If he wants to be considered as an authentic intellectual then he must show some restraint in his writings. It appears to me that he is born again mullah gone wild, and uses his flip-flop style to everything under the "moon" as work done by the us elite and their conspiracy.
As hamid has requested of chowk staff, this person should be totally removed from this site, until he discovers humility and respects other opinions and values.

"Manal restaurant where I had lunch with an old flame. We had problems keeping our hands to ourselves despite couple of grown kids on both sides."
That belonged in the journal, right?
"Lahore or at least the parts of Lahore that I saw showed me that it is perhaps the best city to live in Pakistan right now. Lahore looked better than Karachi and Islamabad both and traffic too was a little less crazy."
Thanks indeed for realising this my friend!
"hoarding missiles and nukes next to the prime archaeological sites could only be a Pak army idea!"
Maybe the stuff they have there is from Ashoka's time!
"I had taken two bottles of Chivas with me from the US but these guys were already loaded with all brands of scotch."
Again, this is for the diary...
"In the Khairpur rest house we had four girls serving us and in 2008 in Karachi, eight girls were assigned to the party."
More for the same diary....
"some hidden hand that prevented rigging"
That was the Unseen giving us another break!
:)

It was a pleasure disagreeing with you on certain issues and though I am vague about the disagreements or the issues disagreed, I still remember the civility and the high level of respect accorded despite the convictions of your opinions in disagreeing with mine.

To all those encouraging Masadi to continue his abusive behavior, I can do no better than repeat what Afsandyar Wali Khan said a couple of days back: There is a thin line between maslihat (rough translation: compromise) and beghairati (rough translation: shamelessness).
Chowk is not a think tank, much as we may flatter ourselves into thinking so. bjkumar e.g. failed to respond to my challenge to show me one "idea" (conspiracy theory is more like it, and at best conjecture) in the article Masadi provided below to HP that you would not expect from a talkative barber or rickshaw driver or slightly inebriated army captain. The standards of scholarship and veracity are non-existent - the only standard that exists is chowk guidelines, (which, roughly translated, boil down to dont abuse one another, or one another's community).
Masadi has repeatedly misrepresented of things that, when challenged to cut and paste anything I wrote to back his accusations, has failed. He cannot refer to anything I wrote without adding personal abuse.
Like I always said - strong words are invariably a cover-up for weak arguments. I am willing to discuss any issue with anyone - as long as it is a civilized and reasonably honest discussion. You may not like what you hear from me because it is quite often at odds with your dearly held convictions - but you wont find me presenting views without backing them with some reasonable evidence.
Thanks.
