Re 'coming chaos?', the Pakistani nation has seen chaos to chaos and crisis to crisis. I don't believe this chaos is going to be any bigger than any of the preceding ones.

Again, what deal could they strike with NS? And in return for what?

You see, the americans had a deal with musharraf re GWOT in return for guaranteeing his continued rule - and even musharraf couldn't deliver anything significant and failed miserably while being the COAS, President and de-facto P.M ... all at the same time.

What could NS do for the americans when he is none of the above? And what could the americans do for NS when he himself does not want the center and already has Punjab in his pocket?

I had referred to an article in the current issue of Friday Times titled "Well played, Mr. Sharif". It can't be copy/pasted because TFT is a subscription site (I get the print edition). It clearly shows NS strategy.
