I think you've thrown all your religious books away. Others will never let go of God's guidance.

Secondly almost all cities in this world divert its' shit into rivers or seas. What happens to it? It's not decomposed in the water but eaten in full by the marine animals.

So momins think twice b4 eating fish again. If pig is forbidden for its propensity to eat feces then fish is not far behind in that trait.

In modern times pigs are reared in piggeries and are fed with fodder i/o shit. So, pigs are no longer dirty animals and therefore worthy of being our diet. Again, 2 eat or not 2 is left to individuals.

Who needs to be concerned with the misery of the poor in Pakistan when one can bend down 5 times a day to Biggest Guy Around instead?

Personally, I am for a secular form of government with a Constitution, as I stated in the article. Religion can then be left for individual practice. In such a situation, there is no need for any reinterpretation. The individuals can practice their religion whatever way they want without imposing it on others.

My post #25 related to a situation where amelioration is sought through reinterpretation. Reinterpretaion should not only be theoretical; it should be practical also. This can be done by a government as Turkey is currently seeking to do.
