majumdar writes "India is barely ahead of Pakistan in its economic indices "
Economic indices is not industrial development about which I was talking, India's industrial base as well as exports based on manufactured goods is much wider than Pakitan's. By the way the "jihadi mayhem" is what has been bringing in funds from the US both during the Afghan/Soviet War and now post 9/11 to fuel Pakitan's consumption and not industrialization based "growth". Economic growth measured via GDP is meaningless if the masses are distributionally deprived, and lower growth when properly distributed and channeled into protection can result in a much larger standard of living for the masses.

[In Mumbai, 1000s of people die from railway accidents.]
That is due to Indians having no human value and allowing thousands of people live on railroad tracks. I guess the Hindoo government of India thinks it is much better for these horrible hinus to live on railroad tracks then to live in tree tops.
Hamid mian can elaborate on this topic further. Economic slaved hindoo cultured mindset is totally oblivion from the fact that US corporate elite are in together with these newly Indian corporatists in creating far more overseas economic slaves that would remain indentured for generations to come. Wherever they may be, unfortunately for Hindoos they remain economic slaves.
Otherwise why would a hindoo go and develop muslim lands such as Dubai?

ok doctor sahib. point taken. but on this question of religion - i dont like the fetish people have made out of religion in pakistan either. but put yourself in the shoes (if they have any) of the poor people in pakistan and perhaps you would not be so enlightened either.
you do berate religion though. how difficult is it to understand that "man does not live by bread alone". The "spiritual" is nothing more than people trying to make sense of their existence as the only animal that is aware of its mortality, aware of the severe limits to our knowledge and awareness of reality, aware of the need to reconcile individual fulfillment with the needs of others, i.e morality.
so, even if you must berate superstition-passing-as-belief which is what islam is in pakistan, at least stick to the part that is deserving of criticism (superstition). not to the part that only the truly ignorant will deny (belief, in the above-mentioned sense that distinguish humans from animals).

O Maulana Sahib, when did I berate anyone, Pakistani or otherwise? Show me a single post where I berated any human being, with the exception of a couple of silly personal altercations which I regret; its simply not my style.

akcheema #573: easy to curse the darkness in pakistan while sitting in a foreign country. better to light a flame up the dictators behind inside pakistan - as millions of pakistanis have done!!

Majumdar bhai,
I think I can relate to that; I have similar frustrations about Pakistan, and the rest of the muslim world.
Cheers

Hamidm: In 8 years of mush rule, mullahs roamed the streets, burning flags of other countries - US, Denmark - on one pretext or another. And the "rising sun" sat on his thumbs, happily telling the world that if he stepped down the flag-burners would take over Pakistan.
Today - Aitezaz Ahsan addressed the bar association in told Pakistani lawyers how senators and lawyers from the US had supported the freedom struggle. And he said: "aaj tahaya kar laitaiN kaiN kay Pakistani lawyers kisi mulk kah jhanda nahiN jalaiN gai. Kyoonkay yeh jhanda oon senators or aam logoN kaa bhi hai jinhoN nai hamaraa hosla barhaia hai!!"
Put that in your cigarette and smoke it!!
