Tahir sahib,
('hamaray poondinay kay baagh thay' tpyes)
Who are these people? Why were they growing pudina trees?
If you can explain the above to an ignorant kaffir.

Dear sparkplug manufacturer NGK,
To equate criminal Bush with Prophet Muhammad (peace on him) tells everything about you.
Haven't you read "George Bush: an unauthorised biography"?
Self-ignite in your hatred now.

Who created this criminal Altaf-bhai? Zia bhai, of course. Why can't these 'hamaray poondinay kay baagh thay' tpyes enter the mainstream politics instead of whipping up the Urdu speakers' cream repeatedly.
Aadaab arz hay huzoor...

Dear topless tree,
Can you translate what you uttered in English so that we know your reality?
As for why there are no Christians on CHOWK, they believe in 'Jesus/God is love' and deliberatley stay away from this site. They too have a 'revealed book' and a Prophet to back up (most of) what they say. They know how poet Valimiki saw your ready-made mythology in his palm.
The balance here will soon tip, I assure you.

Some conclusions...
The process of evolution is very slow for visible animals ( including birds). So, we may not easily notice it, unless and until comprehensive study is taken up...Darwin's observations from Galapagos Islands, triggerred the most acceptable theory about origin of species...With advent of genetic engineering, Abrahamic religious claim (God had created all the species) is proved wrong, outrightly. All scope of argument stopped there. Now bio-tech giants (like Monsanto) play the role of mini-Abrahamic God...

Re: # 433 majumdar intersting that you say this. Consider that we can forma huge vector
[gene culture environment core_value_system .....]
for each memeber of a population and run a GA on this population (in fact if i am not mistaken there have been such simulations - will check my office/library) you should get interesting results. This is almost like "psycho-history" of the Asimov kind.
And if run this over differnt popultation sets (comibing thse sets ofcourse) we will should get even more interesting results.
I must say, the J-Z combination can come up with very interesting ideas.

Zee sahib,
Hyenas to the best of my knowledge are an evolutionary link between dogs and cats, closer to dogs I think. But Zarrar sahib can correct me if I am wrong.

#433 Posted by majumdar,
Majumdar Saheb, I think I did at some earlier point. As I recall, I had said that hindoos are hyenas. These too are a dog-based species, no? But I stand to be corrected.

Zee sahib,
Can we apply your learnings in #432 to the different nationalities that inhabit South Asia? (Think wala icon)

Hmm ... one lives and learns.
Today I've learnt that Alsatians have different core value systems, organizing principles, world views, decision-making systems and various expressions of culture, each distinctly unique, and each uniquely similar as a part of the evolutionary whole, from Bull terriers.

zarrar, I must admit you are knocking on the Hallowed Chowk Hall of Fame - for this article has croseed the magic numbers. Though, you are not queit there as yet, you need to develop some more interesting tactics and insight.
The article was interesting, raised some interesting issues.
However, a small correction is required here (and perhaps some information for Zeemax as well (this even though he has asked me to fuck off - we are friends here (despite appeareances
Cockroaches have evolved over time. Roachoids are from an earlier era (500 odd million years )to modern cockroaches which are similar to the later ones you get some 100 million years ago. Even then there are disssimilarities in them which suggest evolution is in progress here as well.
What is interesing, is that Termites are from the same family and have evolved from the cockroaches of 100 millions ago. The break in the family tree is similar to the man-ape-monkey break. Another arm ofthe same family is the Praying (or is it the preying) (you get both kinds on chowk - interesting place this chowk) Mantids.
Evolution is at play here as well.
Just thought I will give you and Zeemax bhai this information.

It is natural to see the pakistanis talking about genetic evolution t5hrough natural selection.
World has lomg moved past this, and the view is of memetaic evolution. For teh mulsims, this is not possible, because they have to literally follow what is in the book, though it is 1700 years old.
Still, may be , just may be some pakistanis might like to know about the future .
Islam as a meme is on terminal decline
Here is memes
"Memes are comprised of core value systems, organizing principles, world views, decision-making systems and various expressions of culture, each distinctly unique, and each uniquely similar as a part of our evolutionary whole. Memes or mematic structures evolved historically as natural responses to changing life conditions in our evolutionary experiences and help shape the way each of us interprets the world. Memes are also distinctly at work in a larger way via various cultures, religious beliefs..........."
