"Muslims follow Muhammed it does not imply, they have to be like Muhammed..."
Who else must they follow? Boy George, Elton John, Freddie Mercury, George Michael?
It is THIS firmness with unbelievers (and kindness towards believers) that you are afraid of. Admit and be liberated Major NGK.

Can anything be more stupid than assuming that God works a seven-day week or takes a Sunday off?
First, the Arabic term 'yaum' means 'eon' and not your average earth-day of 24 hours.
So, 2 for the basic earth
4 for all the plants, animals, atmosphere, vegetation etc.
2 more for the cosmos.
Adding it up means nothing except that it took many eons to acieve this. Consult with a geologist. And stop quoting Koenraad. A case of the blind leading the blind.
PS: 'seven' also means 'many' in Arabic. So it's not seven but 'countless' galaxies or cosmic systems! Take a look at the Hubble images!
Now go search for more sparkless things NGK.

A very shallow (innocent) choice! Here is your favourite anti-relgion Vexen Crabtree (Germany) site's info for CHOWK readers. As you can see, he is very 'vexed'. What he reads is this: Richard Dawkins, Anton LaVey, John Wyndham, Gavin Baddeley, Peter Gilmore, Douglas Adams, Tolkien, Marx, Naomi Klein, Naom Chomsky, Friedrich Nietzsche!
Here we go now:
Vexen Crabtree's Live Journal: Sociology, Theology, Anti-Religion and Exploration: Forcing Humanity Forwards. Want more life! More time to write, more affection, more hours in the day, more time to read, more intelligent conversation (only one person at my work can maintain intelligent commentary on whatever topic we hit upon). I have to sleep less, work faster, type faster, think clearer... and find a way past my present location's complete FTP-ban (and ftp proxy ban) in order to upload texts. I have to make a greater name, make a bigger difference, teach more people, be harder, overcome my own weaknesses and failures, and get more out of everything I do. Because, like, I've lived a third of my life, and I haven't done a third of what I wanted to have.
Okay good folks at CHOWK, over to you now...

Vengat...
not only that, he finishes all the projects in proper time without compromising quality. I dislike this magic/miracle matters. Otherwise, he is nice person. Ramakrishna was asta-yogi. He never used that for physical healing or impress people. Only, he used to get "samadhi", but that he never tried to utilise that to attract people. He used to treat body like any other commodity. Human means, to him, is pure soul/intellect (not mere bi-ped animal, whose primary concern lies in earthly matters like food,sex,sleep...)...
I have encountered another family, who were devotees of Satya Saibaba. The guy was from IITK and then completed his higher study in Boston area. His mom was principle of a college and his father was IAS. He was part of ARPA-NET ( internet project). He was partner of top consulting firm in USA (not PWC)...

Dear about-to-burnout-spark plug,
We follow the God-prescribed way of the Prophets and not your ever-changing man-made theories spit out in Time-Newsweek or Wired magazines.
So now you've switched to defending 'gao mata' instead of absorbing my previous answer? What a colour-changing 'girgit'...
Well, keep at it but you'll soon run out of colours I assure you.

Tahir Saab,
I am not as nuanced a person as you are, as far religious matters, but I believe you are inflicting too much pain on yourself by being overly sensitive.
As a God believer, why do you think the impartial creator would feel hurt? He cannot afford to feel saab...
Please be in peace...It may take a toll on your health...

Jayp and Nkg,
It angers me to see godmen still doing business but what baffles me is Sai Baba's u-turn...From being a vibuthi man he has truly evolved into a leading philanthropist. His hospitals and 'drinking water' projects are greatly helping people...

Error 2,
You have a choice before you ram into a wall at 100 mph (do you live in the USA?):
1) Either ask me if you should, or
2) Do it and ask me later
Or is 'natural selection' hindering you from making a choice that your genes already come programmed with?
If you're still struggling with such issues, read the Bible to see how Jesus was asked by Satan to throw himself down a hill!
Get a grip over your personal demon ('Qareen', according to the Qur'an).
Bye, now I must save someone else...

tahir,
I like your god, the god that delivers in return for payment, no cash, no credit cards, simply prayers. Sounds more like the hindu gods.
You should go to tirupati temple in India, where film makers make deals with the gods and offer 50 percent of the profits, the current going rate.

Re: # 527 "God states that He will try you the moment you choose His Way."
If this is really true then this guy is an arsehole and no better than a two bit hoodlum!
tahir, please in your eagerness to become a godly person you are becoming a real god-botherer.
peace be unto you

Dear Mr./Miss Koenraad,
The only other language I know is of faith. Take your pick: The Bible or the Qur'an.
Are you still attempting to measure God and prayers in test-tubes?
Praying to the dead yeilds ZERO results but doing the same to the Eternal One God gives you much more. And there's no guarantee that all your wishes will come true, in fact, God states that He will try you the moment you choose His Way.
Regards.

nkg,
China is a different story where due to massive subsidies they can export at below cost when compared to that of any other country.
A few months ago I bought a chordless drill while in the US for $10, noting that the retailers margin is 100 percent, the packing and shipping costs, the company in china could not have got more than $3, the material cost of the lithium ion battery, the copper and the plastic in it would be more than $3.
It is the free hostels for the employees, low electricity, no taxes etc etc. that can sustain such cheap exports. The point is that India should be able to export some high value items at market prices, to balance the trade. In the case of pakistan, the cotton industry is decimated by the chinese, now pakistan is exporting cotton and that is bad news, especially it is being subsidised by the paki govt through teh so called "research " grants.
Pakis are nutters, they have no economists, no nothing, all because of k for kafir education.

nkg,
I studied at IISC that must be nearly 4 decades ago, when sai baba was at his height of producing stff, including a seiko watch, and there were quite a few prf there full devotees of sai baba.
But now I undertsnad he has stopped all that and his hospital near bangalore, cashless, paperless one is a tribute to what dedication and simple beliefs can do. IF vibhuti and ultimately deliver that, let us forgive sai baba.
