Re: # 23

I dont know

Its ur opinion that for pakistani people fouj is oppressor. If that would have been the case, why majority of fouj consists of pakistani people.A mojority from punjab ,balochistan & sarhad, sind is joining ARMY.The popularity & the trust in army is still there in the hearts of pakistani masses. No body can shake it.

#19 Posted by Urstruly:

What happened in Karachi is a turf battle, spearheaded by a group who has just lost state patronage. This group will try to rally its members by taking recourse to those parts of history where its members were repressed by the state. This is nothing new in the dynamic of a state which rules the population by patronizing co-ercive groups. Or for that matter, what is happening is not confined to simply Karachi. You will see the same thing happening, but its manifestation may be different, in your beloved NWFP etc. State co-ercion through coercive groups under slogans that appeal to its members is a wide-spread phenomenon in our sub-continent. Crying hoarse in favor of this or that slogan will get us neither here or these. But it will perpetuate the existance of a barbaric state, controlled by (perhaps) different sections of the same ruling cabal or even a completely new group. The barbaric nature, however, will persist.

MQM knows what is the real challenge. As it stand today, the lawyers movement has no teeth. But, the platform the movement stands on may just slip to the unwashed .... and that cannot be allowed. It is very obvious in Karachi/Sind today because the unwashed are a wee bit more enlightened. Let the unwashed get a bit more enlightened in NWFP and your "heroes" will do the same.

But my point is that this is indeed good. The FIGHT against the state starts with the FIGHT against the dogs of war of the state.

oye west ke chamchay, I am not sitting in USA. So you can shove your thesis and get lost. Instead of siding with people of Pakistan you chose to side with fascists and terrorists in these testing times. All that living is west has changed nothing in you just like by carrying a load of books does not make a donkey a scholar. I pitty you.

Re: # 21

The only relationship that fouj has with Pakistani citizens is that of Oppressor and the Oppressed. Fouj is that gangrenous leg that Pakistani nation has to chop off to survive. Fouj can shove its so called shaheeds and m/f ing fouji "who sits on Siachin in freezing temperatures" and get lost. Why the fukk do we need these m/fs anyway, when it is the citizens of pakistan who save Pakistan while fouj is at it to destroy it.

Down with these m/fs.

re: Urstruly

Pakistan has a lot of problems and these problems need to be solved, but they will not be solved by playing a blame-game.

Your words would have added weight had you been in Pakistan, but sitting within the comfort of the First Amendment in the United States and wishing death and destruction upon others just to sate your own personal insecurities, is not only hypocritical but also a sign of moral cowardice. You sit and work in a society, whose freedoms you enjoy and support by paying your taxes to a government you claim to hate.

If you hate all that is so rotten with the west, then why do still stay there? Why don't you leave the United States and come back to Pakistan and lead the revolution, that you claim is at hand. If you believe so strong in your words, why don't you stand on a corner and say aloud what you believe in? Are you afraid of being arrested and deported?

My friend, take a good look at yourself in the mirror! You are the one, who is supporting the subjuation of Pakistan by the "US elites" by finanically supporting their plans/policies thanks to your tax dollars.

The question you have to ask yourself is this: what does it profit a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul?

I have more respect for Masadi because he is saying all of what he believes in from Pakistan.

Ciao

Violence breeds violence

Right..and for years, the pakistani state, with the backing of the pakistani people, created, armed, funded and trained the islamic warriors who did a whole lot of violent things in afghanistan(strategic depth) and kashmir(core issue)..

so this is just karma..

Dear Pakistanis

Please pray for the Shaheeds of Karachi. May Allah bless their souls for they died for us all - for Pakistan.

Please also pray that Allah deliver us from the evil of laanat called pakistani fouj, and its fascist cohorts who have no mercy for people of pakistan. May Allah destroy them all, their families, and their friends for they have no shame over their attrocities.

Ikramul Haq:

"The man behind the politics of intolerance and hate, symbol of discord rather than harmony as president of State, is responsible for present state of affairs."

No! You are responsible. And without reflecting on this simple fact you facilitate the repeat of history time and again. Without taking responsibility the State will always remain the "maa - baap", and those who control the state (no matter who) will exploit those who do not. We south asians are not evolved because we fail to understand this and take responsibility.

Re: # 16 GT

Giving "this" democracy a chance is nothing but wasting time. But not only that it is like giving time to a very scared and retreating corrupt, pro-western, ruling elite to further entrench themselves. From what happened in Karachi and Lahore it is quite evident that this fascist ruling elite will go to every length and they will lower themselves from the humanity if they have to keep their oppressing hold on the people of Pakistan.

I am not against Democracy, but there are globally established practices to run Democracy. This is nothing but ghunda gardi where evry corrupt and incompetent has been forgiven even the cases of murder. What the fukk is this. Even in monarchys this shit does not happen. These m/fs take us for chutiyas? All these assholes are going down.

OK, I take back what I said in #14 after seeing #12. But give democracy a chance and give the lawyers/students movement some time.

It was due to the MQM workers that on the day of BENAZIR'S death we were saved from the thefts and killings & kidnaps

".... this is because they have been compalcent to these corrupt, pro-western ruling elite for so long. Tbe day of reckonning is upon us all. We must weed out the scum for the sake of our own survival ..."

You were upset about this election even before it was held. You have used every incident after that to blame democracy. You have been crying about a "bloody" revolution against "western-elites" sitting in the West. You sound just like the spoiled kids of PLO leaders residing in villas in Barcelona. Your types are ideal for the army .... I wanted to sound much harsher but I can't. Your rants are more irritating than the UP chatter. ... Adios.
