Not at all. They have decided to remain restricted to two cities, so it is their choice. Rest of the country feels those cities belong to Pakistan ... not to MQM ... Urdu speakers as a group are not held as enemies yet, but they WILL, just because of MQM.
Sheesh. Why don't you get my point? Pakistan is a very big country with very powerful ethnicities. Urdu Speakers are appearing to stand against ALL of them who're united.

Thanks for that post. It made the situation quite clear to me.
Why did MQM had to lower themselves to this level with all that bhai-bhai shit. What is wrong with these terrorists.

No I admire the army. This a difference I have with Urstruly, my respected brother. I only have great opposition towards the army Generals taking over by unconstitutional means and running the country.

It's because MQM is ruled by a charismatic psychopath, and the Urdu-Speakers are hypnotized by the dreams he casts at them.

Patience. Things will not change fast.
JUDICIAL INDEPENDENCE:
"SHC acquits Zardari in Murtaza murder case."
STRATEGIC PARTNERS:
"Coup-related curbs lifted by US."
FOREIGN POLICY:
"Indian FM due on May 21 for talks with Qureshi: Pakistan-India composite dialogue."
FINALLY:
Why is everything quiet on the Western Front?

Yes. He's been charged in an anti-terrorist court.
What does one expect with the PM Gilani seeing off musharraf on the airport to China.

Yes, what a disgrace; as the urdu proverb goes, "abhi tau inn ki maaN (Benazir) ka kafan bhi maila nahiN hoa".
......I am struggling hard to keep myself from deliveruing another "I told you so..." lecture; so I stop here.

That's what we did in '47... unfortunately, not completely...

Yes Urstruly ... as you may recall I had set a time of two years for the last democratic experiment, and then, the guillotines. That countdown has started.

Re: # 79 zeemax
I think NS' second rule was the end of people's democracy for good. The countdown began then. Now it is time to harvest what our ruling elite sowed since then.
I think what happened yesterday in Krachi is enough to cast light on the shape of things to come. The current election and whole drama was just that. Dictator and his new allies have decided to put an end to the uprising of the people.
The Islamic militants are a different ballgame and a force to be reckoned with still. I give them three-five weeks before they start striking again.
