Mister Singh,
Let your dog take you out on a walk.
Please! It was our Sherry-Sherry lady and our very own Rudy Gilani who did what they did to their mutual satisfaction. One has the info highway under her stilettos, while the other has the premiership. What's your problem? They both got there doing something at least! What's your claim to fame out there?
Pray tell me....?

This proves perhaps that there is more honour in such countries than in the one you live in. Some men just can't take it, some allow others to take 'it' and merely turn away their faces like good liberals.

Recite Bulah Bulah (Bulleh Shah) and leave us to recite Allah instead.

And how did you get stuck on the tip of this treetop? Take a guess where it might have come from.

Many believers of Sufism say that the more a sufi abuses the greater his 'karamat' capacity. Is this true?

Civilised discussion on CHOWK?
Want to know how many times I asked the editors to intervene and clean up this abusive site. Perhaps each 'gali' gets them a fixed number of Dollars (or Euros).

May I intervene?
When I declared my faith, and asked others to do the same in order to avoid being unnecessarily targeted, you said that admitting any such thing amounted to KUFR?
I'm neither attacking you, nor defending Hurricane.

Add at least 10 to this myth of '6' to arrive at the correct age, and it was 'nikah'. Do you know what a 'nikah' is?

Attention all CHOWKidars:
A kangaroo that escaped from Manchester zoo, disguised as a surgeon, is accusing me of possessing nothing below the 'nara'. Some animals--when they see a behemoth below that very line--are in the habbit of labelling the event 'nothing'.
The animal is in throes of death wishing to know where I reside. The kangaroo has no clue how Muslim daughters are brought up--very differently from how they are raised in the bush.
Donate generously to fill the kangaroo's empty sack.

Dear Azra
Some very civilized but much repeated ideas in a society that has yet to evolve from its primitive state of existence.
Keep up the good work. Thanks

Azra, I agree with most of what you have written, but perhaps Pakistani society is not ready to hear what you have to say. The focus needs to be on those women, and not your personal beliefs. Your lack of belief seems to have become the centre of attention here. I don't think this is what you wanted, but it cannot be a surprise to you.
You have the right to speak of your own beliefs, but to conflate them with a larger issue does not do the women you speak of any good. If anything, it brings home to a certain set of men that this is precisely why they want "their" women illiterate, barefoot and pregnant; anything else, and women go out of hand and become apostates.
In an ideal society, women and men should have the right to speak of their beliefs or lack of thereof, but we do not live in ideal societies. I therefore ask that you consider harnessing your anger-it is very obvious, and maintain the rage!- better. I am not asking you to be hypocritical. I am just asking you to prioritise. I am on your side.
