{"tahir, did you kneel and bob today?"}

Maybe, but the real question should be whether you did Neil and Bob today.

forget about doctor shoctor - there is no doubt that drinking causes stroke.

the other night hamidm came back from authetic irish tavern named raja tavern, changed clothes and crashed right into the bed. half an hour later mrs. hamidm woke up hearing screams from hamidm "i can't move my legs", "i've got stroke", "waaaahhahhhh". In a panic she immediately called 911. Minutes later when paramedics arrived, they found out that hamidm had put both of his legs in one leg of his pyjamas.

Ham-Damn2,
You display amazing ignorance!

CHOWK staff please note that Ham-Damn2 is poking fun at Islamic salaah. Ban the instigators instead on blocking those who try stop an agent provocateur.

"how can you talk to a man who won't sit down and have a drink with you"

Exactly what truth resides in this apparently silly statement only a drunkard might know!

How can one talk to a man who won't stand, bow down and prostrate with you in salaah?

Hamidm #13 I checked with my doctor on whether a glass of red wine was a good idea to protect the heart, as per popular literature. His asked if I drink. I said no. "Then dont start", was his reply.

and this doc is not one of these bathroom-wetting-foot-in-the-sink maulvi either - he is one of these gora gentleman whom would be a poster boy for Hitler's ubermenschen that you are always telling us about.

As for relaxing - 20 minutes of sweating it out, or taking a short nap, or a short walk, or a hundred other things I can think of is more relaxing than any drink.

But what do I know - I even think that the rule of law is better than the rule of the lawless..

Hamidumdum Sahib,
Moderation in all things is good. Extremism in all forms, especially religion and nationalism can be horrible - the effects are even worse when alcohol is thrown in the mix. If you recall, your boy Slobodan, got his Chetniks to do many of their cruel deeds under the guise of alcohol. So, try not to drink excessively, but if you must, then please lock up the firearms and hide the car keys.

Re: # 11

salim mian,

..... there is nothing wrong with an occasional buzz - i find it relaxing and if you don't overdo it is good for your health ....... it can also break the ice between two adversaries - if the turk izetbegovich had not been averse to having a drink with slobodan the two could have worked it out and avoided all that bloodshed ....... in any case, it is a lot better than beating your head on the ground and then getting up to kill infidels and sheep ..........

#8 arjun {"funny that an alcoholic should be saying that"}

Arjun,
Do you have any proof? Or do you just take the word of a "Fasadi Runt" as gospel?

Hamidumdum Sahib #6,
Please don't get so angry. My reference to "Kaala Angraiz" was not directed at you. Nothing wrong with drinking, if it doesn't lead to intoxication, bad driving, breaking things, hurting people, or selling one's daughter to finance the daru - as depicted in many Bollywood flicks. Slobodan had a lot of guilt to forget, what's your excuse?

Hamid Saab, would you rather get a buzz on Colt45 here or wait for the most exquisite single malt Scotch in the afterlife? Would you rather be intimate with a few here, or wait for 72 most gorgeous chicks in the afterlife? The choice is yours. I would rather wait. Fruit of patience is very sweet.

Re: # 3

salim mian,

why is it that mohammedans are so obsessed with liquor, women and pork ?......... is there nothing else in their religion that is worth talking about ?

...... remember there is nobody more obnoxious than a born again christian, a recovering alcoholic or a guy who gave up smoking ...... their pompous rectitude and self righteousness is more nauseating than a raki hangover .....

..... in any case, this is what the great serbian leader, slobodan milosovic said about the turkish leader alija izetbegovich : "how can you talk to a man who won't sit down and have a drink with you" ......... there is some truth in that apparently silly statement ......
