There is no hard scientific evidence to suggest that any race is mentally superior to another. Sure, there is statistics, but there is no evidence that is free of compromising circumstances that render the study invalid.

In physical abilities, yes, there is a wide variation, but I still find it fascinating that the top Chinese athlete is within .01 second (or some such very low number) of the top african athlete (400 m hurdles, if I remember correctly).

HOWEVER, ONE THING IS SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN AND ACCURATE. Any nation where people marry their cousins are bound to be more retarded that a nation that doesn't.

Kulharee, I decided I like your previous articles better than this one. This one just has too many holes. It seems that everyone as usual will interpret this differently, focus on one thing and go with that. The confabulation of sports, China, the history of African-Amreekans, who is more intelligent. I think I get what you are trying to say here, but I really have a problem with looking at how a group of people progresses through history by looking at its athletes, and that is partly what you are doing here. Was it Michael Jordan, or Charles Barkley who said that he did not want to be a role model or something to that effect?

The problem with judging African-Americans by looking at the excellence and progress of their athletes for me is that is is a double-edged sword in that negative stereotypes arise. Why should a six foot nine black man be expected to have played basketball at least once in his life, when much of what occupied his life is history, literature and languages? Anyway, I am digressing here.

I think that both you and Masadi are right. Yes, African-Americans have made strides, but how many of them are actually seen as first-class citizens (and how many see themselves as that) is still open for debate.

You are talking about more than athletes, and the army, and musicians, many who have contributed to the civil rights movement, but I don't know, perhaps it was the examples that bothered me. Thanks for the article.

Generally women can be cruel to each others race than men are. I have heard chinaman will also like children like white race so he marries white. But China race women are considerd to be good wife and m,ake good food makers and chioldren and care givers by white people as they feel this mongolids have spiritual stuffs etc. Also that mongol race mimicks white race boys and girl.

I believe in race but not racism. Feline is race but in that many animals like tiger, at top and cat at bottom. There is tension in same race at elemental level. Now tiger and lion race is same but they hate like indian and pakistanis. As we know about 1000 years ago ther were more lions in india. But then suddenly in 200 years just tigers got wild and killed so many loins in india. No body knows why , many theories but all agree tigers finished lions. It was about Sportsmanship, it was about Athletes. In the process I mentioned a few athletes that exhibited sportsmanship even at the malicious and the saddest of times (e.g., Robinson, Owens, Ali). Remember how our Pak Field Hockey team in Munich 72 acted like complete bastards? I certainly am not proud of what they did, but I can’t think how a single African American (or any American for that matter) will not be proud of Robinson and Owens. I was really saddened about the protests over Olympics torch relays. When US boycotted Moscow 80 (friggin stupid Carter), you know how many hearts were crushed? Meanwhile US had the largest trade deals going with Russia on the side, who got robbed of their chance to compete?? Poor athletes. So Ana, I don’t know how did this article end up the way it did. Actually, the Editors shortened the Title, which was Submitted as “Race to the Finish: #42”. I wanted it to be about Jackie, it about Olympic protests, about role of athletes in the American race relations. Race somehow got the best of it (it wasn’t meant to be the dominant contributor). Considering that I wrote it in my lunch break two days ago, it didn’t turn out bad. The idea behind interjecting theory was to open the discussion up to our intelligent elite.

We know asian elephants are smaller and only males have tooths. While african elephants huge and have much larger ears and color also darker.
